ProWin Hop Up Units. Question?

So I was doing a little looking around and I wanted to add a better hop up to my Classic Army Proline P90. I saw that these ProWin Hop ups are supposed to be pretty well and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? It seems they make P90, AK, and G36 hop ups.

I have read that there was an airseal problem in the P90 ones and that modification is needed. I would rather not have to modify something (because I don't want to damage or break it, then waste money on a new one).

Any information anyone has, it would be greatly appreciate it.

Well I haven't had any responses yet, so I am going to bump this up. I really need a new P90 hop up and I can't seem to find a review of this one.

Any information is great!

You might have some luck on the airsoftmechanics.com forums.

I do not have any personal experience with the P90 hop ups but I did use a pro-win in a TM G36C I used to own. I can say they are very well constructed units and work very well, but they require a decent nub and bucking to compliment them.

I believe this is more of the design of the G36's in general but their hops are not like M4's where they direct the feed a little better. But over all, I believe they are worth trying out and as another user suggested airsoft mechanics is a great resource to read.

I haven't heard anything about the pro-win hopup, but from what I have seen, the CA metal hop has bad seals/the nozzle doesn't always fit, and could need drilled out and modified. If you can find one, the mauri p90 hopup is the best way to go, but I guess it's hard to find one in the states. I honestly like the echo 1 hop that came in my gun, the only problem I have with it is it slowly turns its self down when shooting alot. I did find a place that sells the TM hop, but the problem is its in Tokyo.... lol.

Just read this in the ASF,

Quote:
Based on my limited experience with it (which was basically the time it took to swap out a TM hop up chamber to it, test fire a couple dozen shots, then swap back), I would not recommend it unless you want to do some tweaking. It does physically fit nicely in the TM, but as for the clones, I didn't try. I do foresee that there could be issues due to the lower quality and different tolerances of the clones. From my experience, it's not a drop-in "upgrade." Some of the inherent issues with the clone P90 hop up chambers are due in part to some of the components that you would need to put into this chamber, since it requires a donor chamber, as was mentioned before about ProWin chambers, so this chamber might only be as good as the weakest link; it could require extensive tweaking; or it could just be useless. I haven't dealt with it extensively since then (which appears to have been about 3 months ago), because I didn't really have a need to (Why fix what isn't broken, I.e. the TM P90 chamber)

From my post on Arnies awhile back: "The bucking seems snug in the chamber, but it must not be making a good enough air seal somewhere. I did kind of just toss the parts together (where it needs pretty much all the donor parts from your existing chamber), but putting the PW chamber in my P90, it was shooting about 320-330fps, and then for some reason started dropping down to 290-300fps over the course of 25 shots in semi. Putting the normal TM chamber (I have plenty of them, but this one as well as the PW had a 247mm Prometheus barrel and Systema bucking) back in made the velocity jump right back up to the 360fps that this particular P90 normally shoots at. In short, the PW chamber with pretty much identical parts dropped my velocity by 30-70fps, and even when it was shooting at its most consistent levels, it had a much wider spread of velocities compared to usual (I usually see 2fps, but the PW gave me strings of 5fps or worse). I'll have to figure out what's going on, since I kind of just tossed parts together. The chamber does look pretty though..."

Thanks for the help guys! I really do want a TM Hopup considering it would be the best, but I can't justify spending the $60 to buy and ship it here. I think I am just going to try to fix my CA Proline hopup and not worry about the PW because I don't want to mess with the problems.

Question Answered!
