Helmets

I have a question about helmets. I'm going for a Marine Corps loadout. I've got just about everything except the head gear. I know which headset I want to get, but I don't know if the Marines use MICH helmets at all. I know that the PASGT is the standard issue, but this is for a squad leader/officer.
For all of you Battlefield 3 players, is the helmet that the guy on the cover wears correct?

PASGT has been phased out for MICH 2002 and IBH helmets. I myself use a PASGT just because I like the look of them better and it fits my goggles and go pro on it. You can see the PASGT on me in my profile pics

The marine core does not use Mich or achieve helmets. They use a LWH light wieght helmet its similar to the PASGT so u could use a PASGT and it would work.

The 2002 isn't very widely used, and the IBH is used even less. Only 741 IBHs were made under USSOCOM's contract in 1995-1996.

A LWH (Lightweight PASGT), or MICH 2000 of some sort (ACH, MICH, etc) would be suitable for your loadout

I would get a regular MICH 2000 and get the DESPAT or MARPAT cover with the PASGT NVG mount. Since some people find that a PASGT is uncomfortable, thats what I would do.

^^^ The NVG mount for the PAGST doesnt fit the MICH 2000. I own a MICH 2000. I also own the bracket in question. the lip that hooks under the helmet closest to your eyes is different. The bracket will however accept the PVS7/14 arm. I tried it out and I ended up havin to get the MICH mounting plate.

Buy a LWH of you can find one or a PASGT with the suspension and srap upgrade. A MICH 2000 wont accept anything from a pasgt. Its a different shape and is 8% smaller.
