Barrel thread adapter for UTG L96

I need a barrel thread adapter for my UTG L96 and was wondering if i could use one that is made for a Maruzen type 96 sniper. I'v looked at many pics of it and it looks like it would fit on my UTG L96. Does anyone know it does or if it doesn't what will?

The UTG l96 is a clone of the Maruzen, so yes it will fit.

Awesome!!! do you know where i could get one? Cause the only place I'v found one is on Redwolf Airsoft and the shipping costs more than the thread adapter.

Although the well is a clone of the Type 96, this doesn't mean that their parts are interchangeable. I have both the Maruzen and UTG and there are slight differences in both guns. I believe I tried putting my "vanishing silencer" on the UTG and they were not compatible...also UTG mags do not fit into the Maruzen...there are other differences that are not compatible.

The vanishing silencer especially made for the type 96 will not fit the utg but the one posted by Person7 will...I don't know if the vanishing silencer will fit on that adapter if that is what you're asking...I would just look for one that would fit that adapter that he posted. The vanishing silencer is pretty expensive.

This video should be helpful...basically all he did was put that adapter on that Person7 posted and put a silencer on...the cool thing about his "mod" is that he was able to use an extended inner barrel under the silencer...pretty nice...of course if you do decide to add a tightbore, you will need to invest in an AEG hop-up chamber (PDI Hop-Up chamber) If you ever need help upgrading a L96 or Maruzen, throw me a pm.
