Hello, world.
I've seen some pretty neat stuff on airsoftpost.com, and have also heard very conflicting reports on their reliability.
In particular, their PRESALE section items seem to never get off the list. As soon as the ETA of one rolls around, poof! Transported to the back of the line.

So, has anyone out there successfully bought from Evike, especially Evike's PRESALE section.
And, I can't seem to find this: http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=31053 anywhere else. That's the item I've been looking at why back when the ETA was September 25, 2009.

I've used Evike 4 times and I've had 2 problems. One was a helmet I preordered. It was dated to be in stock 2days after I ordered it. 30days later I received the helmet. The second problem was they sent me a broken reddot and it took 2wks to get it replaced.

While I do like support local stores like Athens Airsoft, AirsoftSmith, etc. Evike is just hard to beat on their prices, being that they are a big distributor now. I have used evike probably around 20 or 30 times, buying everything from guns, gear, BBs, parts, whatever. I personally have never, ever had a problem with them and they ship stuff so that I usually get it within a week of ordering (standard shipping).

I know that some people have had problems with them, but I just never have. If you do have a problem thou, CALL! The internet can do funny things and I personally just like to talk to a real person on the other end. I think you will find that if you do have a problem, calling is the fastest way to fix it.

As for the pre order stuff, I have no idea, so call them and find out. Besides, sometimes their shipper says they will have something by X date, then it doesnt workout in customs or something. Then they are forced to push back their release date. It doesnt make any sense for a company to hoard inventory. They want to sell it so they can make money. Hope this helps.

I have have bought off evike about 6-7 different times all above $100 and I have also bought off the presale section I have had no problems at all with them and with the item that was on presale they sent it out right on time

You think their online service is funky try going into the store. When you walk in you'll be immediatly attracted to the amazing amount of products on display and while you're drooling over the 15 VFC scars with EGLM's on the wall, you'll fail to notice the sign in sheet. After being ignored for 10 minutes, you'll realise you need to sign in to be waited on. Now pen to paper and sixth in line you'll have to wait another 20 minutes before the second guy on the list is called. Since he's there to ask every stupid noob question you deduct that you'll be there until you're on medicare. So you say f**k it and head to the car where you wife has been waiting the entire time.

For the record all Ohio retailers have comparable prices to Evike. I know AA has price matched in the past. Not every store is going to carry the speciality items you're looking for. You are going have to jumps through hoops to get it which may involve waiting longer then you expected. Just Evike has everything doesn't mean they are the best reatailer. Ask your local shop, they might be able to get the part you want with their next shipment of products. Never hurts to ask.

My entire Christmas list (which is over 11 items long) is on Evike and has things nobody else has, although I've gone through only minor research on the Ohio retailers.
Should I go without the specialty things and stick with airsoftmegastore?
(there I go again, asking stupid opinion nooby questions! Everyone has my totally worthless permission to ignore that last question.)

I have ordered from Evike quite a bit (at least 30 times) and the service has always been good. I have not ordered a pre-order item.

Their prices are actually hit or miss, cheaper on some things, more expensive on others.

EH is right about local retailers being comparable on price. I recently bought a couple of Systema magnum motors and 321airsoft was the best price I found anywhere, $83.99 per motor.

If you don't trust pre-ordering from Evike, just wait for it to come in stock or check with local shops to see if they can get it like EH said.

They always send me different BB's instead of the ones I ordered, but besides that they aren't bad I guess.

jtg, most local retailers can also order things not listed on their website if you ask for that specific product. I have had Airsoft Arms order me personally numerous items not listed on their website by contacting the owner. If you know exactly what you want it wouldnt be a bad idea to find the owner of the local retailer of your choice, and ask them if they A.) can order said product, and B.) how long it will take them to get it instock for you.
