Landing Zone X-Ray 11/14/09 at Synergy Paintball
LZ X-RAY, an event based on The Battle Of The Ia Drang Valley depicted in the book and movie: "We Were Soldiers."
LZ X-RAY EVENT Will happen at Synergy Paintball Challenge in Grafton. We will have the north side of the field which is plenty big. South end will be occupied by Paintballers. Therefore, we will not be using the fort, which shouldn't matter because nobody had one in The Ia Drang Battle. We will use the "mounds" as LZ X-ray and the woods to the east of that will be the Chu Pong Massif where the PAVN will be based. Those interested in being a Green squad leader, contact kcavalier0713. Those interested in being a Tan squad leader contact me (bps0716). I need a VC commander also. Questions? Ideas? Comments?

What are the age limits?
Also will people have to have VN styled equipment?

All details are in the event posting (Hopefully it's up soon). Age limit is 14 unsupervised, under 14 requires a parent/guardian be present. This is not a re-enactment. VN era equip is great, but definitely not required.

Sorry, I would switch sides, but I never get to wear my Green uniforms. All you kids need to get some tan ones so I don't have to be tan all the time! So I guess what I am saying is that, no, no Viet Cong/ North Vietnamese Army for me.
Maybe you guys should go recruiting, read some communist manifestos and you'll be good to go!

Green side is temporarily capped at 15 to even out the sides. Hate to complicate things but we don't want a repeat of Red Dawn where green outnumbered tan 2 to 1.

Digital woodland would be green, which is closed for now. DCUs or DESPAT are tans which is NVA. Civies, black, and urban camo is VC.

Me and my people can switch to tan if needed, I'll be SL in that case aswell. Looking that way as of now. I'd hate to be damn vietcong, but if no one else will!
