I wish i could put into words how much fun i had at this event, But i cant.

I had absolutly no problems what so ever. What i mean by this is, No one was fighting everyone called there hits everyone was in a good mood all was friendly and thankful as well as very respectful to each other.

This was my first game with Locutus and Storm Blade and to put it in simple terms. I will be back.

Thank you so much for putting on this amazing game day, It could have not went better. the 30 minute games was nice for me because it gave me time to enjoy the sport as well as time to reload/get some air and then the break for lunch gave me time to re gain more energy so i could continue to play.

I dont want to drag this out to much, So i will end with saying that Storm Blade this being my first game with you defenetly set the tone right and made me leave wanting more.

And the most important thing is, I love you Link.

Yeah, I really had a great time. This being my first event, I did not really know what to expect. I hope some one will post some pictures. I believe Loct was taking some.

The sportsmanship was very good and everyone did call the hits. The field was great and I think you guys did a good job with the buildings.

To the guy I shot at full auto close range, I am sorry again. Still learning. LOL

And also, I believe someone was wearing a helmet cam, It would be great to see some video.

Omg this thread is turning out to be so corny...

Yeah I had a lot of fun. My goal was to get my friend to admit airsoft is way better than paintball, and he was very easily convinced...

Having 30 feet more effective range than the other team made my day.

Good game today guys! A lot of good sportsmanship. I took some pictures that I will try and put up soon. Thanks to everyone who came out despite the sleet/snow and cold weather.

Smurf, I am glad you had a good time, it was good to finally meet you.

McBango, That was me.. but honestly i don't even care. things like that need to happen so you can learn from your mistakes and not do them in the future. You didnt know i was there i shot some other guy and you got scared and shot me, Its no biggey. I gave you a hug witch means its all gravy

Locutus, I stressed how much fun and how good the people where at this event to everyone over at ASL who asked. Please please please continue to post your events on our forum because i for one will be coming to more.

I know i'm sounding corny, but if you guys knew what i have been dealing with over at ASL kid wise for the past few weeks you would understand. This was absolutly perfect for me and thats why i cannot stop saying how much fun i had.

I'm so pumped for red dragon, I can't wait to see EH again

The pictures of the event can be found here:

http://www.teamstormblade.com/gallery.php

If you would like to save the images, you can access them directly here:

I didn't get a chance to resize them, so these images are large, so dial-up users beware.

Great photos, and I think they hammer home a point: Multicam works as camoflage, and ACU doesn't.

At least with ACU you can decipher what team they're on.

Great fun.

Loc, on building construction, holes in the 2x4s, on the centerline, 1" bores? Then thickness of plywood + 2" from outside edge of the plywood?

I was trying to take note of how it was done one game, and my camera phone woefully washed out some depth.

Then if I otherwise have it right, 2 8ft long beams, top and bottom, then 5 92" 2x4s, spaced at 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96? Some sections of 4x8 plywood ripped down to 2x8.. Then, looked like 4 lag bolts a corner, at what, 12, 36, 60, 84?

Smurf and I might talk to our field owner into trial running 2-3 of these.. it'd be great to modularize (new word!) our city in the field and mix things up some.

fish, I'm not sure what you are asking in the first sentence.

But the rest is correct. (2) 8' 2x4's for the sill and header. (5) 92' 5/8" studs. Except for the first and last stud, the studs are 24" on center.

We used (3) 3/8 lag bolts, so use a 3/8" bit. Doug actually made the template for the holes, so I am not sure what the exact measurements were. What is important is the distance from the bottom to the nearest hole is the same as the distance from the top to the nearest hole, and the center hole is exactly between the top and bottom holes. Also, the holes in the side need to be the same distance from the edge as the holes in the front. This will allow you to bolt them together from any side in any direction.

I hope that makes sense.

It does. You answered my first part with your last part. We're on the same page, I just can't put it easily into words.

3/8 is a better size.. tho I'm wondering on the center hole for the 3. No matter how my math goes, if the 3 bolts generates 4 slots.. so you're ABCD and A=D, and B=C, then point of BC would be 48" .. which, you should have a stud there.. thus preventing the rotating a panel 90 degrees to the left or right, turning doors into windows etc.

Eh, thats all an aside. Great buildings, consider the concept stolen.. now just to price them out locally, abuse friends with contractor accounts @ 84 Lumber and see what we can build 'em for.

First off, I had a great time,I cant wait to do it again. I really seem to stand out in the pics in my glowing ACU moon camo, and I have deemed ACU evil. I'm thinking about dipping into the credit card and going for what is effective for tan, multicam, that stuff rocks. I hope to make that purchase before the Red Dragon game.
