If it's anything like HSGI's Weesatch, then go for it. Most of my team mates run Weesatches and they're very nice. You can make them anything from a light load out, carrying only 8 mags in the internal pouches, to a heavy load out, carrying 22. They really are quite versatile. Also, it doesn't mention it, but it also has an internal admin pouch, right in the middle of the chest. The last thing I will note is that, the two mag pouches on the ends of the internal ones aren't very good carrying mags, as they do not like to fit very well, but that's still 8 internal mags.

Yep, bought a Multicam one from Redwolf with a bunch of pouches and some other goodies over Winter Break. I love it, quite simply. The Pantac model really has a nice feel to it in my opinion with plenty of loadout space for magazines. Adustable waist, shoulder and shoulder pads make it conform to your body type. I dont have much experience with other PC's but I know that Pantac/Phantom makes a great piece of gear that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. The webbing is good and secure so your additional equipment will not move at all. Any condor equipment from AA will work just as well with it. The velcro mag covers are adjustable to fit anywheres from 3 M16 mags to 2 G36 mags in about six pouches across the front.
If you would like, I can post pictures of my load out over the weekend. Im not at home right now so I cant do it this moment. Last edited by Spectre; 01-30-2008 at 06:45 PM. |

wow thats cool. never really saw a vest that carries mag internally. yea, i can see how you could carry 22+ mags, wow. I'd say if you're looking to carry a heavy load out that would be the way to go.

No. It is the equivelent of a chest rig with a back-side panel. The design for the original rig was ment to be used with a hip/waist belt that a SF Operator could use to carry more gear around his gut if he so desired but could be quickly detached if it got in the way. If you are worried about using a drop-leg pistol holster, just go to your neigborhood surplus store and buy a WWII era or ALICE pistol belt for 5 smackers. I just loop mine on my ACU pants belt which interlocks and doesnt budge.
EDIT: For what it is worth, the fact that it does not extend down to your waist is a plus. It allows the user more degree of movement then a conventional cross-draw vest. It is a very usefull tool for varing loadouts, but I must add that weavering the MOLLE system into it is a pain in the you know where, so you will probably want to decide on a configuration and just stick with it. Mine is set up much like you would see a CIRAS set up. I have an Admin pouch with a double mag pouch on the chest. Around the center torso is an accesories pouch and a dump bag as well as a small radio pouch and a 40mm Grenade pouch. On the side is an additional 3 mag pouch with a grenade holster I got from BF4. On the other side is an old ALICE M16 pouch, and a condor hydration pack on the rear panel with another old ALICE piece. I plan on buying another accesories pouch for the rear and a buddy mag pouch. Good rig for the price. Probably one of the more higher quality replica gear companies out there.
Good color, durable, and versatile. I'd stick with STANAG/M16 magazines on this rig, though. If you load the mags in the correct way, you can get all 10 magazines in without too much trouble. The radio pouch is half decent, but don't use it for mags. I found it a hassle to get them in and out. I've used mine for about four months, and just now I'm considering getting rid of it because I'm going with a P90 rig. I'm going to sell mine for $70 (It has pouches on it..), so if you're interested when I put the ad up, just PM me. |

Not if placed correctly on the side or if you want to be unique, in the rear would be your best bet.
