Gentlemen,

I am trying to put a special event together for early next year. The event will bring several new ideas but one of the main important idea (which is also very restrictive) would consist of enforcing a very specific loadout for one side. I will not disclose everything right away but here are the major guideline on paper already:

The United Confederation
BDU: Marpat, ACU, Xcamo, Multicam.
Loadout: Mandatory plate carrier and helmet (need to be confirmed).
Medic rule: 21st century methods.
Ammo rule: Latest weaponry available.
Mag rule: Latest weaponry available.
Purpose/mission: Clean the planet of all resistance.

The resistance
BDU: obsolete patterns such as Woodland, desert 3c and 6c, DPM, OD, tigerstripe, etc.
Loadout: everything but a full vest and helmet.
Medic rule: 20th century methods.
Ammo rules: Obsolete ammunition such as the .223 and .308.
Mag rules: everything but Highcaps.
Purpose/mission: survive.

Now before you start saying "why this and why that", just remember it is the way it is because I want to try something new. If it is played and done the way we are already playing, I will just rename it Operation 2xx something and be done with it.

Being said, I am not sure about the date, the whole mission layout, the schedule or even the entry fees so don't ask about that just yet. What I really need to know though is who would like to experiment such event. You don't have to pay, you don't have to buy anything, just give me a "yeh" or "neh" on AEV. that will give me a rough idea on who see something nice into such event.

So anyway, here is the link to register, just remember. If you register for the confederation, you must own (or willing to) one of the 4 BDU pattern above but also a plate carrier and a helmet (still not sure about that one yet). If you go resistance, you can wear everything you want except the patterns above and a full vest and helmet.

I would say it is more like the movie "soldier" where a planet cleanup is needed. Nothing personal really, the resistance (all none military personel) are just in the way

What kind of specific weapon limitations is the resistance looking at? I'm not that well-versed in real steel so the ammunition types don't explain much to me. :P

Karma, Obviously, limiting the weapons would be a bit extreme since not many "futuristic" weapons exist out there. Yes, I could have said Masada and Scar guns only for the confederation but limiting weaponry/mags has been proven to be a very bad ideas in the past mainly due to cost, availability and reliability.

Being said, I purposely said real steel ammo type because they do not refer to any airsoft counterparts. The purpose is simply to allow me to add, modify or simply change the fps, quantity and other limitations to each side. For example, I could say resistance will be limited to 350fps due to their ammo type while I could say the confederation use a variation of the SS109 ammo which allow them to go up to 400fps. That is just an example but I hope you get the idea.
