Good idea, Blade. I'll check with the team and respond on AE. I do believe we would have to be on the resistance. Sounds like a fun role.

I like the idea's and how it'd be cool. But theres two things that might occur to be a problem. xcam right now is already confusing, and so are the turkey shoots. If we mix tan and green up this much it'll be hard to id friendlies or enemies and lots of FF will happen. Plus with the guidelines needed for each side... it might lessen the amount of people who show up. Then again I might be wrong. I like the enthusiasm for realism in this.

As Locutus said somewhere else, you need to look at the pattern, not the colors. And yes, the guideline are stricter so we have a much selective group on both side. For those who does not want to be so technical, just go on the resistance. For those who want to go deeper into role play with more gears and specific style, you go with the confederation. The gola of this event is not to get 100 players, it is to get a unique and very specific environment. At the same time, EVERY players should attend knowing that rules and guidelines will be VERY unique. If you think it will be a 1xx or 2xx series event, you might end happily surprised or deeply disappointed

Alrighty, another quick question on the Resistance loadout limitations. Does it mean we can't wear any kind of full OTV/RRV/whatever vest, or just that we can't wear a vest+helmet combo?

Is the resistance going to be more organized and have to wear camo? Or more like a rebel group and be able to create a loadout based on civilian clothes?

To be more specific now, you can pretty much wear what you want outside ACU, MC and Xcamo. If the roster is all messed up, I will rectify (i.e. removing bdu choices from one side or the other, etc).

Yes I did Blade, sorry i worded that different that i meant to. I realize it says outdated camo but when i think resistance or rebel i think more of militia with no standard dress and guns. I will wear camo anyway, just asking so i can determine options.

Just a little update about this event. I am still planning to host it. It is just a matter of priorities now. Looks like you guys would enjoy it (according to the 50 players or so roster on AEV).

Due to AO rules though, I will have to restrict most of the details to AEV as AO only allow organizers to post 2 events at a time in the calendar. I will continue to update this thread BUT you guys will get more specific answers at AEV.

We want to keep the number of "open" plays down on the calendar, actual events there really isn't a limit.

I'd love to attend... but my only issue is that I do not have a helmet, and Multicam is the only camo that I own. Perhaps allow boonie hats/baseball hats in matching camo patterns to replace helmets if you're still planning on having them?

I still need to confirm for the helmets (as mentioned in my first post) but definitely want full vest. I would rather have less players on that team than having too many half a$$ theme players

Would this vest count as a plate carrier? It basically is, but just has integrated mag pouches.

Look,

As I see it, you either conform the uniform requirements or you don't. It's just like mid-caps and hi-caps...there is no in-between for that.

It's only 1 event, if you can't make it then just plan to make the next open play. It's really no big deal. I don't see why people are trying to make exceptions when the rules are clearly posted in the first post.
