G&P AK conversion kit
I am in the market for a new metal receiver set for my CYMA AK. in my searches i have come across a G&P conversion kit. G&P is a a good brand and I'm not looking for fanboys to talk up the brand i need a good review of the build quality and over all usefulness of the kit. i have searched AO and only found a WTS of an AK with the kit. i have PM'd the seller but that's is only one review.
this is a version of the kit i am looking at. http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/...oducts_id=3374 there is a a full stock version i am very interested in as well. like this, http://www.evike.com/product_info.ph...ducts_id=27447 if you can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey bro.
I've had a few different conversion kits before and during the time I had the AKSU and I will advise you that almost all conversion kits need fine tuning before they work well. As an overall fanboy of nothing, I will tell you that these conversion kits are too overpriced and would advise getting a whole new gun, instead of converting your AKM. There are a few other AK models I've seen that fit that bill, so I'd check those out. Here's a similar model in all black, that can be painted, too. http://www.evike.com/product_info.ph...ducts_id=37093

Having owned a G&P AK body, you're not getting much of an improvement in quality over the stock Cyma kit. If you can find the G&P kits for $100-$120, jump at it. Otherwise, the Cymas are cheap enough you could prolly just buy a new gu closer to the configuration you want.

Teddy,
I recently bought one of the G&P kits, i like it but as Flenner stated, there will be fine tuning involved.

Teddy, i have yet to see, some filling will be needed for sure. My "kit" consisted of a body and stock, so every thing else has been pieced together. i just got it assembled last week but i haven't had much time to tune it.
EDIT: I've bought boneyard AK's from Airsoftmegastore, but that was when you could kinda get an Idea of what you are buying. Now it's just "boneyard AK" and you dont know anything about it.

No welding or lubing was involved. The kit is close what you're looking for, and is $50 cheaper, so I suggest going that route.

To add on here, it's feels nice for AK, but I didn't like how the stock folds and it blew my mind when my brother told me it was a G&P kit. The stock felt like it was made very cheaply.

If you are looking for an absolute solid external build quality I suggest getting a conversion kit by LCT. It may be pricey but you get what you pay for (full steel, no pot metal).

How did you know about that winter?
@ironman thanks Edit: actually now that I see these I really like there thanks ironman, the only reason I liked the g&p's were the rails. But I can handle not having them.
