This is my new chest rig layout. Everything is pretty much the same but I moved the pistol holster in a bit more and added a pistol mag pouch on the outside. It's a pain in the *** to reload my pistol but I rarely reload my pistol anyways. It's just nice to have an extra mag. I keep my utility pouch on my left side to keep it out of the way since I'm right handed.

Ever try putting the pistol mag on your 1st line or on your GP pouch. It'll be much easier to get to that way. Looks pretty nice.

I honestly did consider putting in on the GP pouch. As for the first line idea, I did try that but it interfered with my 1911 when I holstered it. I'm going to try both layouts this weekend at CIA. I also just recently put my dump on the back of my vest and love it so far. I was able to eliminate a need for a belt all together. I have to test that out though.

@Hoss, how would putting the pistol mag pouch on your 1st line interfere with your 1911? The pouch would go on your weak (left) side opposite the holster, so you can grab the reload with your free hand, so there should be no interference between the holster and the mag pouch.

Yeah, that was my fault I misread his comment. I now run a belt with my rig because I added a thunder b on the right side of my rig. I put my 1911 on the belt along with an extra mag and my dump.

Thread bump with a pic of my homemade homage to a Mayflower Gen IV rig. Not bad for $25 worth of raw cordura and straps.

This is my loadout for the moment. I'm waiting on an order from BFG to arrive with a new chest rig, but until then I'm using a Condor chest rig. The battle belt is Eagle with HSGI tacos, a Serpa, Pantac dump pouch, and a Condor single mag pouch holding my speedloader, along with a Grimloc holding my Mechanix gloves.
