Unless Airsoft Smith provides their own warranty on the SCK's, they'd be assuming the risk for any defects or damage to the kit during the assembly process. Whether they do that, I don't know. I doubt they would warrant any product that they didn't sell to you (if you bought your kit elsewhere), but regardless, none of the SCK's come with a warranty from Zshot or Systema. The reason is that if someone buys an SCK, doesn't know what they're doing, and they screw it up and try to send it back to Systema/Zshot for warranty repair or return, Systema isn't going to assume any responsibility for damage done by incorrect assembly.

I'm pretty sure Systema still offers warranties on their fully assembled PTW's, though they're more expensive. They used to have a 1 year warranty, but I know they changed it a year or two ago.

Since I'm a certified PTW Armorer, if I notice that there is a problem with a part for an SCK during the assembly process, I can send the part to Zshot for testing/evaluation and can sometimes get an exchange the defective part in a few days (depending on their stock status). They will usually only do this if they can verify that the issue is indeed a factory defect. Otherwise the customer maintains responsibility for purchasing any defective parts.

Good luck!

To clarify Darkstar's post since I've been getting a lot of questions on.

Systema offers no warranty for user mis-assembly, or user abuse on challenge kits.

Systema does offer warranty on challenge kits bought from Zshot dealers in the US (Such as Airsoft Arms and Airsoft Smith) on factory defective parts. (I.e. If the hop up isn't working right from the box.)

Which is why a Certified Armorer or a certified dealer should assemble the gun most of the time..

This was just confirmed by Zshot.

Clarification

Hi guys,

Someone pointed me to this thread and I thought I needed to clarify something. "Officially" speaking, our contract terms with SYSTEMA stated that we are NOT allowed to offer warranty of ANY kind on ANY PTWs. Only the Mil/LE PTWs have an written warranty program, and I think SYSTEMA use that to further distinguish the Mil/LE vs. Civilian PTWs.

However, to support our dealers and users, we have always been providing replacement parts free-of-charge "under the table", especially if the issue is found to be a factory defect. The recent 490A motor fiasco is a good example, we have provided dozens of "free replacement" to our customers who had developed a motor problem. So in retrospect, we do warranty the PTWs (or any SYSTEMA parts for that matter), we just can't call it "warranty" and can't have a "written warranty policy".

Nonetheless, we are currently negotiating with SYSTEMA to lift this restriction, and it may change in the future. On the time being, some of our dealers offer their own warranty on PTWs (as a way to circumvent our restriction with SYSTEMA - since those warranties will be from a "third party"), and we encourage you to take advantage of them. However, we need to stress that they should not be confused with "factory warranties" the only "factory warranty" as of this writing is provided by our LE distributor (Centilla) for Mil/LE-Grade PTWs.

I know this is a little confusing, but the bottom line is that as long as you purchase your PTW/SCK through an official ZShot.com dealer, you will be covered - either directly from us or through the dealer in which you ordered the PTW from. We will back you up and support our products, especially if it failed due to a factory defect. We just cannot "officially" call it "warranty", that's all.

Thanks for all the info Fox. That answered my questions about the PTW's, especially the lipo battery part. I never thought about the gun constantly using battery life. Thanks again.

Any particular reason why you brought back a thread that started in 2008? And why you took darkstars post, copied and pasted it as your own? Read the rules of the forum.
