Nice post Scorpion.

course, if you really wanna go advanced you can post up the proper use of "Yellow Canaries"

Also, " I shackle" meaning I am sending a coded message. This gets hairy sometimes and supports the use of yellow canaries due to the fact you have to write down the message and then decode it.

One thing we did as well was each day our call sign changed along with challange and passwords and of course our codex's for the encryption. Course the call sign gig was 20 years ago. And was really pointless.

Anywhos, considering a proper communications guide could stack up to "War and Peace" I would have to say that Scorpion laid out the best basics that are most commonly used. Again, Nice work.

Actually, I think too many radios are used sometimes. Its the improper use that strangles the net.

Course this is just an opinion

Chief, you are correct. Majority of messages sent on radios are sent to receivers within handsignal or voice range.
Just because a player has a radio doesn't mean they can use it. The constant "where is regen" "where is my squad" "the tangos are near this large tree(and not giving the correct position)" and the most common...."medic...i need a medic(and not giving position or callsign)"

The worse is the call buttons. if a player doesnt know how to use their settings on their radio...leave it in the car or at home.

This looks great! I'll need to get a few headsets... anyone know a good, cheap brand (headset)?

Love the guide and wish people would learn this stuff. I have started to promote proper radio use on my team because we have people who will "role play" over the radio, and there is no reason for that.

Though I will say, at Night Archer 5 I didn't hear a whole lot of communications between any of the teams.

though I found it interesting, that someone called for me, and I said I was recieving during the night portion, and two kids chimed in and said "We're on the radio too!"
