OP: Stealing Freedom

I'd just like to say thanks to the ones who hosted the event and I had a great time. It was fun confusing the hell outta everyone as the mercenaries, along with the help of the US took almost every IRA man hostage at once . Sorry I betrayed you Red, but sometimes war is a trap. Sorry about having to shoot you twice during the massive switch Cosmo, but we sure did it. I had some great times, and falling asleep while standing up on the field was also fun. It was good to meet some more of you guys and I enjoyed playing with everybody. Now I'm going to shower and get outta these boots I've been in since Thursday night. I had lots of fun, would love to come back sometime.

man that was an interesting night last night!! it was good getting out there on a new field. and Bnag, for your first time hosting an event, it was pretty good! i too was glad to meet some of you guys, and put a face to the name! thanks to Bnag for the event, it was pretty fun.

if anyone has found a black canteen filed halfway or so with water, and a Glock 17 mag please let me know. the canteen should have been on the porch near the AA table. the Glock mag, who knows. i think it may have been near the wood piles near the red building.

Spades, I believe I have your canteen. I found a black one in the trunk of my car. I still have yet to clean my car out..

For a first event, it was fun. I think the organizers needed to definitely put things in stone before the event though - There were too many cease fires called to figure out the rules, and too many unknowns with the Mercenaries (Though, you sneaky bastards were fun to have around and play against ).

I think that the field is a great place to play with those buildings. It adds a whole other factor to the game. You have to be conscious when entering a building, and you even need to clear them - Spades, NickTick, and the other that was with us when we cleared it: Good job guys. That was funny, and awesome. The "Walmart" or trailers was always a hot spot, and I died there several times from getting flanked by the Rangers. Definitely a good battle, but the Mercs screwed us! I'm glad to say I was one of three or so who weren't surrendered by the Mercs . You guys got lucky! I was going to escape or die trying! Spades & Kong were planning a surprise for you guys too, but it never happened I suppose.

To the IRA medic with the Red hair: Sorry about the headshot during the first building demolition game. I didn't mean/aim to shoot you in the head, the Type 96 still needs some fine tuning to the hop up. Luckily it was far enough away that it wouldn't do any damage - Or so it looked like it. Hopefully it didn't hurt!

To all snipers in the game: Definitely the best sniping I've ever seen out of any guys I've played with. Duo, Mr. Black, and the other with the Black Type 96 (Never caught your name) did a great job of keeping people's heads down. DUO: UBER SNIPER BATTLE! I'm pissed I couldn't get you. If I get that hop up set with those .30's, I'll get you. That window was the perfect spot to snipe from...Only about a 2" clearance for a shot from the outhouse to the window, no one would have been able to hit me. Only at the Red building would you have been able to get me.

Mr. Black - Impressive stuff. I've known you for a couple months now, but never saw you in action with your guns. Definitely impressed with the way you handled yourself on the field and the way you handled your weapon. I don't think I saw you take a shot within 200 feet - yet you hit damn near half of your shots...BTW, thanks for the cookies!

It was good putting faces to names and meeting new people. And playing with good friends. Spiderman, where's your other two clones that don't call their hits?

Thanks to Nag and all of the other organizers who set up a new field for us to play at.

At the end of the day, tempers were flaring, everyone was tired and pissy, but we all got through it and had a good time by the end of the day. Over all, I had a great time. I would gladly play there again!

This is probably one of the most fun events i've been to, It wasn't too serious or too Wild. Playing with the APC's and IED's was a really neat touch and will probably make me come back again.

Yea great game, lots of good and intense scenarios. The field is great, it is very linear, which means lots of combat all the time. Night games were fun, but it was a first for a lot of people so, still great. Thanks to all the people who hosted, and I hope you guys do another soon.

P.S. I <3 Merc

I had a great time. I would like to say thanks to Bnag and anyone else that helped put on the event. They did a great job taking care of the little problems.
We got screwed the first escort game..... It was like 6 vs everyone else.......but we tried. The trailer park was impenetrable.... That was a nice try when the defending team tried to take the "president" down through the woods.
I can't wait to play there again.

I had fun, I'm just so uber. Good job Bnagley and co for putting up a nice event, and not to mention it being your first event, and even a multi-day event, it had a few hitches, issues, etc. But it was a good time. It was good meeting cosmo, and thanks for that under arm shot when you were going for athiel, Wow, that shot hurt lol.

RcTaylor, and everyone else who slept outside with me last night, that was so fun, probably the most fun I've ever had at an event. With our 5 ft fire and all.

Spiderman, Just joking around with you made my weekend. Hats off to Red for pinning down the whole entire attacking team with his L96.

Duo, man, I have got to say, I was impressed by your uber 1337 sniping skillz.

OK, I'll admit I bit off alittle more then I could chew but it turned out ok. Only about half of the people who signed up actually came. Since we scrapped the scenarios after the first couple hours because of a few problems they really dont matter, BUT I was completely amazed by the Rangers for one reason. They were out numbered. Not by 5 or 10 guys, but most the time they were 2:1 or sometimes 3:1 And they pulled through and won. Here is the score.
Radio Tower Objectives=100 points per hour +100 IRA
1pm convoy objective=200 points +200IRA
3pm supply drop objective=200 points +200RANGERS
kill IRA leader= 300 points +300RANGERS
Rescue Hostages= 400 points +800RANGERS

At one point the IRA decided they wanted to charge the Rangers, and as I was watching all the IRA run out of the base I see 2 younger players in multi-cam(S.T.O.R.M.) crawl out of the woods with RPG in hand and continue to blow up ever single one of the IRA buildings. That was the high light of my day. It was very nice hosting even though I was stressed out the whole weekend. I guess being a host I hear about absolutly everything that goes wrong, so I had figured everyone was having a bad time which worried me but from what I've heard after the games everyone had a fun time. Some of the rules were experimental and I saw how they worked so if you thought one rule or another was stupid please let me know. I did learn quiet abit from the new rules I used. There was alittle bit of confusion about the IED's on the first day but I think they became a fun element of the game later on. Some people had lots of fun with all the partying we did which I agree was a nice way to put faces to names. I think a large majority of problems we had were dealt with quickly. If anyone has any questons or lost anything PM me describing what you lost.

I think one of the best things about the game is that it was a lax milsim. We tried new things different scenarios and objectives, wierd props(nerf RPG) which worked great for what it was. So hopefully everyone else had a good time and maybe another later in the year or next year. Ive seen some of the pics and the video...you wont be dissapointed.

It was a fun game, and thanks bnagley for hosting it. It was my first bigger event and it was a good look at what other game can be like.

Red- good job on pinning us behind the red building at the IRA HQ

Duo- I agree with Son of Liberty, mad skillz

Son of Liberty- I guess when you bombed the base you followed the rules and thats respectable, even thought i know you wanted to do it

i cant wait to see the pictures and footage from it.

Im glad you guys had fun. It was kinda funny that SOL blew up his own building. I still have that image of Red and Spades sitting in the red building, Red would shoot and then 10 Ranger heads would duck down.

Alright, heres my impression of it. It was closer skirm then an op. We had to many breaks and people deciding not to show up. We had some issues like the miscommunication, some new kids that didn't like calling their hits and then the same people saying i was cheating? But I still had fun. Bnagly I cant wait for the next one. The highlight was when me and the rest of Ronin that showed up started to blast people while we rode in style with our apc.

DS don't worry about shooting me 2 time up close. I got you and spiderman back with my shots too. Spiderman it was awsome playing with you, hopefully we'll get to do another event again. It was great playing with all of you. SOL sorry about that shot. I'll blame it on the moving apc.
