A&K M249 MK2 trigger sticking problem

My SAW has recently been having problems with the trigger. The SAW worked great until this last game, when my sling broke and my SAW landed on top of the trigger guard. The trigger guard is now loose and my gun is firing full auto when my battery is plugged in. When the safety is on, the gun still fires full auto. It does this wether I have my finger on the trigger or not. I'd like to have an idea of what's wrong with it or if there's something broken inside of the gun that needs fixed or possibly replaced. I need advice and maybe some direction as to what to do. Thanks.

youre going to have to take the gearbox out to figure it out. sounds like the safety broke, and/or is jammed into the firing switch, causing it to always be active.
you know how to take the GB out?

I would start by taking off the lower reciever. You can then inspect your trigger switch for damage or if it is being caught on your gearset.

Man, you must have really dropped it hard. From what it sounds you might have your trigger switch jammed or busted some how. I'd suggest taking out the gear box and replaceing the trigger switch.

M249s have documented problems with "sticking" trigger switches. Most are fixed using help found here-

http://deadragradio.blogspot.com/200...-sticking.html

I followed their guide and now my M249 works perfect.

For your specific problem, I have no clue what your trigger switch looks like now. I assume it was damage/bent when you landed on your trigger guard. I reccomend using the guide found here-

http://www.scalerocketry.com/m249/m249gearbox.html

NightWolf put alot of work into that disassembly and it really helps.

Take it apart, see if your trigger switch is damaged. You probably ought to just replace the tigger switch now, it will eventually fail you and give you the same "sticky" trigger.

Good luck!
