Are you willing to pay the price tag? You're looking at $700+.

Will it break and be a project gun like most other support weapons?
Time will tell.

$750 is way to steep...especially for an E1.

You should have been around for the days when a CA M249 cost in excess of $1.2k. The price will come down eventually.

Spectre,I'm glad I live in the age where I can buy a CA M249 for $400

But like you said it will eventually go down..I just hope it does soon because I don't know how long I can wait!

Just from the sheer size I can tell why its expensive. I have no intention in buying this because if its near the 26lbs real weight, its not going to be fun to skirmish.

I'm going to laugh watching most airsofters try to lug this around, especially when most can't carry a CA and move all day.

Belive me, when that price comes down I will deffinatly be getting it and upgrade it (worthless E1parts) I don't care about the weight, I think that will make it better in some ways. Ive been waiting for this gun for so long!

You're not going to be able to shoulder it in the standing position for nearly as long as you can a 249. You will use the bipod alot. Trust me. I am constantly pting like a God and during the summer before any of the day had past, I had trouble lugging it around.

It said it comes with an extra spring. I am wondering if, since the stock spring shoots 400 FPS, it ups or downs the FPS.

Yeah, $750 bucks? That's half a PTW, I'm not propping that. That thing weighs 1/6th of me. I will stick with the Red Star LMG, 8 pounds lighter.

hey i lugged around the a&k M60 vn all of blind fury 7. all 19-22 pounds of it. well yea sure at the end of the day i was ready to die of exhaustion, but the advantage of being able to hold that trigger and scare the sh#t out of people is priceless even for the sacrifice of weight. But im sure the combined weight and just shear length of this m240 weapon would get bothersome just after an hour or two at a place like Springfield.

Yeah I've been using SAW's since I was 11 years old, of course an m240b weighs 6 pounds more. But I think the pros out weigh the cons.

Maybe it's just me but I Personally do not see the weight on this MG being as much of a problem compared to the length and just sheer size of it. I remember toying around with a friends TH M240 at a game in indiana last year and the weight felt about on par with my CA M249, yet I found the length and size of the weapon to be a little troublesome to move around with. Either way I'm excited that a 240 is a more affordable price range. Time will tell how it holds up to the community's expectations.

Real military question here: can anyone tell me why they use M240B's instead of M60's for ground troops?? As a mounted gun on a vehicle or bunker i could obviously see why the M240 would be Superior, but as a SAW for a squad on foot it seems to be almost retarded. The gun is almost 5 pounds heavier that an M60E4 or E3, and many feet longer haha. i just dont see why it would be used over an M60. and if im wrong, or missing detail please let me know in a nice manor please

From what I could dig up, they made the switch because the M240 is a more mechanically reliable design.

From the review I saw they weighed the gun (filled with BBs) at around 22 lbs. That is still pretty heavy and a bit pricey at $750. It might drop in price, or if there isn't enough interest - it could just get discontinued. Not sure how most Airsoft companies treat a product that fails to meet some sort of sales quota.

22 pounds? So it's about the weight of a fully loaded SAW then..that's alot less then I was expecting.

Yeah, I remember something about the M240s were more reliable and less prone to jamming when compared to the M60.
