How do you like the M&P 15? I heard they're really hit or miss, but when they hit, they're amazing!

Mine's awesome. I haven't put many rounds through it, as I haven't had a lot of range time as of late, but it's smooth and quick. Not a lot of hangtime between shots, and doesn't beat you around at all (not that most ARs do) but for S&W's "budget line" this gun is hella impressive.

Getting some of the stock parts off was a pain namely, the flashihider isn't to spec and doesn't come off with a standard armorer's wrench and we had to grind the front sight off to make way for the gas block.

I've got about 1k rounds through it and I love it. I've got no gripes with it what so ever.
Honestly, I haven't heard anyone complain about them.

Figured I'd put up some of mine...

This is my baby. My girlfriend knows she'll always come second:

It was a Bushmaster Carbon-15, and I just went on JSE Surplus to replace the upper, so it's actually metal. The bottom is a carbon (known to idiots as cheap plastic), so I like to think of it like the ACR's and such; Why not weaken what doesn't actually take much pressure.
The old upper is seen there with it's lightweight barrel, and old accessories which will be going up for sale when I get around to them.
The custom parts on it are a Midwest Industries 9in FreeFloat Rail on a Carbon Length gas tube, all complete with the JSE Surplus complete 1x7 twist upper. The grip is a Hogue FingerGroove Grip, and a Magpul ACS Stock.

From top to bottom:
HK USP .40S&W, new to me, was used for 6 months by Baltimore Police and put in a closet. It's a '95 make and looks brand new
SigSauer P226 9mm with Hogue FingerGroove Grips and Insight M3X Light
Taurus 92SS 9mm. Nothing customized or interesting about it. Going to send it off to be blued if I don't sell it to my sister first.

And my baby which hasn't been in my hands in over a month due to be repared...

Kimber Desert Warrior .45ACP. It started triple firing after I replaced the trigger, so I figured, instead of doing more damage to it, I'd just have it professionally worked on. Don't need to f up a $1,400 gun anymore than I already have. The Insight belongs on it, which is why it's a tan light.

I went a little crazy with grip tape, and I decided to put some where my pointer finger goes. Since I'm a lefty, it's on the right side...

Such a great addition. Gave me a lot more grip than I thought it would. Just that little extra grip where you normally wouldn't get it.

I bought mine, which I feel dumb about because I did all this research on parts, I was going to build my own for about $700, and then dropped $600 on the BushMaster Carbon-15 which was entirely against all the research I did because I basically learned that BushMaster can be garbage if you get stuck with a bad one.

Edit: I got lucky enough to get a really good one. No jams except for Steel Casings, and it ran almost flawlessly. Haven't tried out the new upper yet.
