Operation Decisive Fury II "The Hunt For Minabe" 18-20JUN2010

http://www.wnyal.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=26515

OP Decisive Fury II "The Hunt For Minabe'" is a 24hr non-stop MILSIM event. DESIGNED & PROVEN for every level of player. Epic Battles will ensue during this weekend long Operation...Action packed with countless Missions & Objectives, you will be tested at every turn. Think your team is "Hardcore" then sign up now for OPDF II & Prove It! You will not be alone as many will join with you, Teamwork & Dedication to the Mission are key. Do you have what it takes to complete Your Missions & DESTROY YOUR ENEMY?

In concert with this AMAZING weekend there will be yet ANOTHER EPIC RAFFLE!

Operation Decisive Fury was an extremely hard fought battle that lasted for months within the country of Porterstan. Minabe's insurgency was able to repel U.S Forces led by COL Devin Thurston, who was severely wounded during the operation. COL Thurston has since retired from military service. COL Daniel McCabe has taken command of U.S Forces in the region. McCabe has these U.S Forces in a defensive posture in the surrounding provinces to prevent Minabe's insurgency from taking control of these areas. It is believed McCabe will begin preparations for a full out offensive, to regain control of Porterstan. Evidence of this has been seen with leaflet drops in recent days.

Minabe, who has not been seen since the last offensive by U.S Forces, is believed to be in hiding & controlling his insurgency from afar. The exact reason for this is unclear, but experts believe, he too is planning an offensive.
U.S SOF have participated in numerous multi-national operations within Porterstan in an attempt to capture or kill Minabe'

Many citizens of Porterstan who were displaced due to the conflict have attempted to rescue family members kidnapped by Minabe'. Very few success stories have come from these brave actions, but there has been one. It was thought Minabe' had taken these individuals to "force them into service" to persuade them into fighting for his cause. Only recently has Minabe's agenda been unearthed. It is said Minabe' has put these kidnapped Porterstanians "to work" The young man recently rescued was being transported to tell Province officials his story, however the convoy was attacked by Minabe's forces & he was killed along with all his family members who may have held the answer.
The only word heard from this man before his demise, was "mining"

DON'T MISS OPERATION DECISIVE FURY II (The Hunt For Minabe')

BELOW IS SOME FEEDBACK FROM OP DECISIVE FURY 2009

QUOTE (Legend33 @ Aug 16 2009, 06:57 PM) *
My brother and I had a great time this weekend and enjoyed the objective oriented gameplay. Thanks again to Sapper and the other operation commanders for making this OP action packed and interesting!

QUOTE (Bond @ Aug 17 2009, 06:54 AM) *
Other than the heat... this was an excellent Op... dare say one of the best I have been to. Thanks Sapper for a great day... next time i'll deploy a squad to replace my "Sniped" observers.. tongue.gif

The raffle was epic..

QUOTE (dobey @ Aug 17 2009, 10:27 AM) *
Operation: Decisive Fury was the Best Op I have ever been to. It was planned expertly, executed flawlessly, and played fantastically by everyone involved.

The leader briefing was the beginning of this fantastic game. The team leads (myself and Fink with Wookie as finks second in command) were handed leadership packs with maps, objectives, props etc. Then briefed on the dangers, ROE, respawn rules etc. My favorite part here was the objectives (allot of them) on a list a few pages long. Each was one sentence long outlining the objectives briefly. Next we were verbally briefed on each objective in detail and were given intel such as grid co-ordinates etc. If you didn't write it all down correctly you were s**t out of luck.

Sapper, thank you for the outstanding amount of effort you put into planning this event, and the dedication to follow through to the end on that plan. Not only did you have a great plan that balanced the game for the new guys, the casual player, and the hardcore guys all at once, but you listened us. Not only did you adjust the plan from our feedback, but you went out of your way to ask the players for input on things like when to break, and adjusted to keep everyone going through the night. That is a real sign of an outstanding leader, you knew when you could push us, when to back off, and how to keep us going even while fighting the weather. I have no doubts that your pace could keep even us fat guys playing 24 hours, Thank You.

QUOTE (ASIANadvntge @ Aug 17 2009, 10:44 AM) *
For $60 that was a steal of an OP considering the amount of play, the food, and the raffle prizes.

QUOTE (Steve The Grumpy Wookiee @ Aug 17 2009, 02:09 PM) *
Well what can i say, i am tired , i am sore, i have over 100 mosquito bites on my body & a nice big bruise from SFC. Parks Pistol on my back & i am sunburned as hell. & it was all worth it!

This was by far the best op i have been to in my entire airsoft playing time. The objectives were plentiful & kept everyone busy throughout the entire day & night. Comms fing up gave it even more of that real world feeling. The Opfor kept us on our toes & gave us a run for our money, you guys really had your s**t together. All the props & briefings kept everyone in the spirit of the game. 24 hour gameplay is deffinately the way to go for ops. There's just so many things about this op that made it truly great.

The only bad things were as mentioned the heat & those damn mosquitos. note to self , next time it's 90+ degrees out, do not hump a Mk-43 all day. save that s**t for night time.lol

The raffle itself was amazing. the way it was held was awesome , & kept everyone involved & in suspense. next time i should listen & pick number 2 lol. but it's all good.

By far the best airsoft weekend ever. & my cousin is now 100% hooked.

I can not wait for OP Decisive Fury II.

to those who didn't attend, i don't know what the hell you were thinking or doing. but you missed out.

QUOTE (ASIANadvntge @ Aug 18 2009, 10:51 AM) *
Those grenades were awesome. Nothing like playing and just hearing a loud "BANG".

Honestly, anything that could be taken care of were taken care of at this OP. There was nothing that really set people back. the COMs were great and like others said, weren't jammed full of people trying to be heard. The hidden objectives were a great touch and made teams actually complete objectives and people seemed more motivated to get into the action. The way the raffle was done was very fun and I kind of enjoyed it that way.

All in all this was a great OP. Like I said, any problems that could be foreseen were already taken care of and I would gladly pay $60 to do a similar style OP. It's actually a bargain for what you get.

Hmmm or we could invade Canada. I like my idea more. Age limit, I'll probably be in New York this summer so I might be able to go.

The first link says "The error returned was:
Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken."

How much ammo is included if you opt for one of those packages? Thank you.

Answers to above ?'s

1. Yes Ransomville, NY. Not far from Niagara Falls. This has been the site of Northern Wind for the past 2 years.

2. Age limit...Our local league rules apply for this event. 16+ w/parental approval.

3. Link seems to work for me, anyone else having a problem?

4. Unlimited ammo is provided (within reason, no hoarding allowed) Initial issue is 1 bag of .25's with ammo re-supply as required. Additional ammo "may/can" be found during the operation.

I will admit this AO is pretty awesome. My team and I made the trek from MI for NWVI last year and it was definitely worth it. We'll have to look into this Op. and possibly make the journey again.

BREAKING NEWS!

Details are sketchy, but recent reports from Porterstan suggest Minabe' and his insurgent fighters are attempting to take over several small villages near the North East Region.

U.S UAV's are believed to be in use but Pentagon Officials will not confirm nor deny this.

GOOD EVENING FROM ANN
"Your Source For News in The Hunt For Minabe"

Our embedded reporters have just returned from a press conference with CENTCOM spokesperson Brigadier General Gregory J Sommerville. Lets go there now for the latest......

Thank you Peter. As you said we have just returned from the briefing. A briefing that offered unique insight into The Hunt For Minabe'.

BG Sommerville believes the current fighting between Minabes' fighters & Coalition Forces may be an effort by Minabe' to cause distraction. Somerville says...

"There is no clear reason Minabe' has fought so hard to gain control of the rail facility. However insurgent activity in the Central Region of Porterstan seems to be the focus of his agenda."

ANN has learned thus far the vast perimeter U.S Forces have secured has thwarted much of the movement by Minabes' Insurgency. U.S Forces are poised to deploy to the Central Region & have already initiated troop movement to support Coalition Forces at the Rail Facility.

Sommerville is cautious with his words...but the clear evidence is from the intense fighting that can be seen & heard throughout this region.

Explosions from IED's placed by Minabes' fighters & continuous air strikes by U.S Forces would have one thinking of a 4th of July celebration, Be it not for what is clearly taking place here.

Peter?

Thank You Michael.....Stay Safe!

Well folks, as you can see it appears the situation is changing rapidly....

Stay Tuned To ANN
