"Site 9"

70 degrees and Sunny!!

Great weather for the Op at RiverBottom. We're going to be a little flexible on the chrono time so those coming out of town can make it. However start time will still begin roughly at 10:00 AM.

With RiverBottom having a good variety of play area the Op will not only utilize the town and shack area , but also take advantage of the river during the game scenarios.

Please register and chrono as soon as you arrive so the event can start on time. We will need to start as scheduled to compete "Site 9". Pack a quick lunch so you can rearm and recharge for session two.

Had a blast at the Site 9 OP.
I feel that the missions were well planned, and I liked how the game progressed with each break. The player-mission cards were a grand idea as well.

I too had a ton of fun. The first half of the day went very smooth. The cards were new and I know many of us enjoyed them. I wish that the second half of the game would have been the same. There seemed to be mass confusion and it appears that two entirely separate games were occurring.

Unfortunately, I had planned a day of alternative style play. It was supposed to be a day of betrayal and surprises at every turn. One important lesson learned from hosting this event is sometimes your well designed plans can go right out the window.

Tan unfortunately out gunned Green and in the second half of Game One they had advanced so far , so quick, that I had to change the objective on the field on the move. I was getting ready to anounce the second objective and Tan had already taken it. I never would have guessed in Game Two that Tan would cross the river as quickly as they did. I figured at least an hour at the bridge and only when one side ran low on ammo. The bridge is frickin 4 feet wide if that…..oh well.

At that point I threw my game plan out and just tried to salvage the day. I should have moved some of tan over to green instead of trying to tweak the games to adjust for the advantage Tan had. For those that plan to host in the future, I recommend having a plan A, B, and C for each scenario.

I apologize for the confusion there, and if i ever host again i definately learned some lessons from this one. Thank you again to all who showed up.

Again I had a blast all day and we also used your EO Experiences to plan OP ARTHUR next month. I sent you (The EO) a message on Facebook.

@1505Reynolds...been there done that. Things some times just go south and you just have to improvise and hope it works. I really wanted to attend but family things got in the way!

@kishi I hope to attend op Arthur next month with my squad.
