ICS L8 series Never-Lose Pins

I recently bought an ICS L86A2 LSW. When I got it, right out of the box, I test fired it, then took it apart (ICS L8 series guns are known for their easy takedowns.) I noticed that one of the pins wasn't completely flush (but the other one was.) After a few times of taking it apart, it actually came out! The so-called "never-lose" pin fell out of the gun. Without it, I don't see a big deal with the gun falling apart, but for future reference, I would like to replace the pin. Is it possible to replace a never-lose pin? Or should I find a different pin that can be removed completely but won't fall out? And if so, what pin and where can I find it?

It fell out as soon as I fielded it. You can always run a bolt through it and bolt it on if it bothers you that much.

Could not find front pin. I dont know they might be the same.

I love my L86, the only problem I have is that it don't seem fair for everyone else.

I can't drop $19 on a silly pin, I actually still have the pin, it just doesn't stay in.

I think I will leave it without one until it becomes a problem, since it is just the forward pin, it doesn't affect the gun. And if it does become a problem, I'll just make my own pin as Moses said, thanks.

My bad, didn't realize you still had the pin. Is the retention clip still on the end? Look at the pic, the little part that looks like a paperclip. Thats what keeps it from falling out.

Drill a hole in the pin and run a cotter pin or wire through it.

Its my fault, shoulda said that in the original post. And it looks like that part has disappeared. I couldn't actually figure out what was keeping the pin inside the gun, that must have been it.

You are correct. That little tiny clip is what keeps the pin in the gun when you have the receiver opened. From my experience, that clip can easily become dislodged and spring out. I lost my clip in a moment of genius when I opened the receiver over a shag rug...never did find it, even turned the rug upside down....plenty of BBs came out, but no clip.

As that clip only keeps the receiver pin from coming all the way out when you have the receiver open, you won't have any problems once the gun is reassembled. The receiver pin will hold everything together perfectly with that clip missing.

Not completely accurate. The clip widens over the thicker part of the pin when you push it in, aiding in holding the pin in the gun.

The pin just falls out of the gun. My brother has fashioned a wire around the inside of the thinnest part of the pin, and it comes out far enough to take it apart, but it won't fall out.

I just took some wire and made a quick fix but I'm sure there are some clips at lowes or something that will work. If not, I'll just find some thicker wire and mold a new clip myself. Thanks sacrifice for that link though, helped me figure out what was missing.

I guess I got lucky with mine. When I lost the clip the receiver pin never moved unless I physically pushed it out.
