Which gun should I buy?

I am trying to decide on what AEG I want to buy sometime when I get the money saved up. I want the A&K M60 cause it has the rate of fire wheel. At least thats what I call it. And its bipod looks so cool and I really love the M60. I also might wanna get the M249. It has the bipod in the grip kinda which is good so that its not in the way of your hands and its not uncomfortable. I also might want the RPK. This is good cause it can use AK mags and AK drum mags. Which is good. Please help me decide which would be better in helping my team with support fire.

We can't tell you what you want. This is considered an opinion thread and isn't allowed here. My best advice would be to go to a local store (i.e. Airsoft Smith, Airsoft Arms, 321 airsoft, etc) and attempt to hold the 3 guns. See what you like the feel of. Also, compare the weights, 6 hours of carrying a support weapon would be tiring.

Support weapons are nice and the role of support gunner is fun. But the only bad thing about having that firepower is actually carrying it. MeticulousAssassin about summed it all up

Go for a M249, why? Parts, parts, parts. The M249 is the M4 of support guns. There are plenty of after market parts for them including box mags.

You should get the Tokyo Marui Uzi and maybe a bayonet. The Uzi is THE BEST GUN. All others are inferior.

Honestly, if you are uneducated to ask this question, you should stop what you're doing and read the rules threads sticky'ed all over the forums.

Buy the gun you like the most that fits your budget. The answer to which gun works best for your team is not something everyone can answer for you. Why don't you try to tell me what number I'm thinking of right now, thats an equally easy question for everyone.

If he's already on the team you can't tell him what to do. Step aside sniper princess.

Seriously, 249. CA 249 is the best LMG for the price.

I agree with texx. Only I think their should be a grenade launcher somehow attached to the Uzi.

But seriously I always look for which gun is going to be the easiest to find parts for if it breaks. I'd imagine the m60 parts would be a lot harder to find than SAW parts. But in the end it's your choice, pick what you want.

This thread is silly. Seriously, it gives me the impression that you simply want affirmation for a choice you most likely have already made. Lets look at it this way.

What is it you REALLY want? Sit down away from the computer and think about it for a minute. Simple? It is for me. I don't really buy that many AEGs due to financial reasons and the fact that I don't need that many. However when the time comes to replace my aging friend, there are a few things to think about. What do I want out of it?

-Performance
-Reliability
-Options
-Quality

I don't care about fancy rails, sites and stocks. Most of the time stock guns don't have all the options I want when it comes to these things, so I buy them later on. So ask yourself what (like what I listed) you want in your next gun. Performance or looks? Available parts or originality?

I'll give an example of myself. When it comes to my primary, I'm pretty unoriginal. I carry an M16 variant just like the other 99% of enthusiasts. My reason for doing so however is the shear availability of parts and options for the rifle. I can do whatever I want with it. So beyond that, I look at just a few more specifc things in choosing.

-Gears: Because aftermarket gears are expensive and I don't want to screw with them. The gears that came in my current rifle are awesome, and because of that alone my next rifle will be the exact same brand, just without any flare.

-External quality: I hate the shimmer some guns come with. I want it flat coated and looking like it ran through the same process many realsteel parts went through. I don't like plastic where there should be metal, and vise versa

-Hop up: So many guns now come with half ***'ed hopups and they are terrible. Many take a lot of tweeking to get them to work right. Even aftermarket hops can be a true pain. It should come with a decent unit right out of the box.

Things such as:
-Motor
-spring
-piston assembly
-airnozzle
-wiring
all usually come out. Cheap and excellent alternatives exist for all of these parts that makes then not worthwhile in consideration of my next purchase.

So think about this for a while and come back later. See if you still have the same original question. I don't like "these two look cool so which one" questions. I like specifics.

id say the M60, higher capacity than the M249, and an already integrated grip, beware though, if you dont stay on top of the drum maintenance (especially A&K) theyll misfeed so an aftermarket drum may be the way you want to go. as for me i picked an M249 PARA, i love it, the drum is crap but luckily it takes 556 mags the para also has a pre-integrated rail for optics

I agree, this thread is really not going to be a definite answer. Also, the M60's don't always have integrated grips, only some do. I would say just get an M249 Para. It's light, compact, you don't have to shoulder it, and if you run into trouble, we can still throw you an M4 mag. Since we are more mobile, I would think an M60 would be too cumbersome and an RPK, well, AK with a drum mag. So yuppers, M249.

Being second in command of said team, I could care less on how many support guns we have. more horizontal rain is good for me . But remember, you gotta be able to haul *** with it, and you might wanna invest in a better hydration system if you plan on carrying more.

As many have said, this thread is opinion based, and that's my opinion based on what the team does. I think the question has been plenty answered, even answered by your team. Mods/Admins, please close.

EDIT: There's a decent airsoft Uzi? how come I can never find one.... Please post a link if possible, I would like to see that.

An m249 isnt very light, I dont think a lot of support guns are. But if you think you can carry it around than go for it. Our team only needs one support gunner and Sgt. Woody has that role as of now. Your question has been answered so someone please close this.

Every thing he said is so very true, but the CA or SRC RPK is just a longer version of an ak, and can use any V2/ V3 gearbox parts, external parts and AK mags. Plus the RPK is lite lite lite! I have the A&K M60 E1. I LOVE IT and have no troubles running with it, or it being cumbersome, but it does get very tiering after an hour or more, but im 6' and 185lbs so that might be why its a little easier for me than others.

Get a springer pistol. By far the best weapon on the field.

Look at it this way. Support weapon = lots of rounds and can cause some much needed cover fire.
Downside = you can't go in buildings and it's a little hard to move quickly with it.

Start out with an M4 or something along those lines. You can beef up an M4 a good bit an it'll do just the same as a bigger weapon AND it'll be easier to move around.

The M249 is the way I will go. Thank you everybody for the opinion and a lot of people say that the M249 is better and easier to maintain. I like how the Echo1 M249 has it to where you can change out the spring guide and the spring in seconds flat. Also the open gearbox is easier to get to so thank you everybody!

PLEASE ADMINS!!! CLOSE THIS THREAD. PEOPLE SAY TO CLOSE THE THREAD SO CLOSE IT PLEASE!!!

Echo1 M249 = bad choice. Listen to SOL and EH and others and get the CA M249. Trust us.
