UTG or Well l96?

I need to buy a new donor gun my utg l96 is broken then i bought a broken well l96 from a friend for the bolt and hop up unit but the bolt isnt working right. Should i buy a well l96 because there cheaper new and use those parts?
I have the UTG upgrade system that i want to drop it in.Im planning on doing a full PDI upgrade in a couple of months though, will pdi parts work in a well cylinder?

To clear things up will a well l96 work with my utg upgarde kit and an all PDI upgrade system?

Opinion thread... Against the rules, but I can see this also as a technical question. You might need to refphrase the question from "what SHOULD I buy" to "what COULD work with X"

i have owned both a well and utg L-96 and i have found that the utg is a bit easier to work with but some may have different experiences with each brand of rifles

it's hard to say.. if all you need is a new cylinder, i have one and tons of parts for the l96.

Sounds like you need the UTG parts. But I thought they were both copied of maruis. Not big on snipers, so I'm not 100% sure.

The UTG and Well L96 sniper rifles are both clones of the Maruzen L96.

The way it was asked is an opinion. The answer he is looking for is not. Now lets try to answer his question shall we?

That bore up kit will work on all of the rifles mentioned in this post. There could be small differences between the gens. To my knowledge the mk96 and l96 shouldnt be different enough to prevent use of that upgrade kit.

Even if the full cylinder upgrade kit fits, please do not get it. It was absolutely horrible. The piston comes with 45 degrees of engagement to the trigger sear, which isn't meant to take 45 degrees. Because of that, it will destroy the trigger sear after use. The piston also is somewhat heavy, and only takes springs to the specifications of the stock one. Aftermarket springs like Laylax and PDI will not fit, because they have a larger diameter. I'd just get either Laylax or PDI parts for the cylinder if you are going to upgrade the L96
