I'd go with BOMB. You might have to spend a lot of time translating/explaining the other one.

Neither. They both sound cliche and noobish. Weve seen so many variations of this type of theme on these boards its ridiculous.

Does anyone know if the Real Steel Magpul P-Mag ranger plates are compatible with the Magpul airsoft P-Mags?

I'm 90% sure they're compatible with legit PTS mags, but no other.

They will fit the more expensive Magpul PTS PMAGs. I'm not sure about the STAR it Beta Project PMAGs.

This is a very random question, but I am moving off campus next semester with a few guys and we are getting a house that is in the vicinity of a few of the party houses. Not that much happens around campus but just in case something does, I have been thinking of investing in a security camera system. Just one or 2 cameras so if something happens we can know who did it. Don't need a top of the line, but has anyone had any person experience with decently priced security camera systems?

Thanks,

Runner

Dude, even Joe Biden recommends getting a shotgun. Think about it. No wiring to install, no batteries to worry about, no footage to review. Just Blue Steel and wood and 11.5mm of pure awesomeness.

Get two!

I'd say go for a shotgun over a security cameras as well - just food for thought. However, I do not have any actual knowledge on security cameras. I do know that security systems work great to deter, but, they're not cheap.

I'm going to have to recommend a pump shotgun. If you are tight on money, H&R (NEF) makes a kick-*** 870 "clone" HD for around $200.

I have a question.

I was shopping parts for my Hicapa (the only thing stock WE is the slide, grip, and outer barrel, mind you) and keep running across thumb rests - not just any thumb rest, EXTENDED THUMB RESTS.

And I got to thinking - "ya know, Texx," I oftentimes talk to myself aloud, because I work late hours alone and it passes the time after the hawt moms have gone to bed, leaving just me and the hospital nurses - and they are usually busy. I don't know what they actually do, mind you, best left up to the imagination that they're making out with each other or taking showers or somethin - I don't know, nurses do stuff like that.

"Ya know, Texx," I says. "Your Hicapa could really use a thumb rest."

Now keep in mind, my WE Hicapa was acquired long ago in a trade for a very dilapidated Classic Army G36K. And again, its best left to the imagination that it has since gone on to bigger and better things in Airsoft Gun Heaven.

To say "my WE Hicapa is a money pit" is to forsake the tens of dollars saved by simply purchasing the Element parts. Mind you, I had once spent money on... 8 ball... 9 ball... F**k, I don't know the brand name, but it was expensive as hell - but looked awesome. And that's what airsoft is really all about - looking awesome.

SO, to get right down to the meat and potatoes - SHOULD I BUY A THUMB REST FOR MY HICAPA?

Now I know what you're thinking! Thumb Rest? What the hell do you need a thumb rest for? Do you have lazy thumbs or something?

I say to you, no sir. My thumbs once bore the tremendous weight of guiding my expert hand upon countless clicks and checks to ban the unrighteous, thereby sealing the eternal hatred of those vexed.

No sir, my thumbs are strong and can go all night if they have to.

But it is just $15 and it adds texture and color to an already interesting gun, whilst I scheme and save to drop some more money on a decent STI slide and lower.

So I ask you, friends - should I add a thumbrest, thus ensuring my gun will never fit in anything remotely tactical of the holstered persuasion?

Oh yeah, get around to answering pretty damn fast, my trigger finger is perched atop the mouse button awaiting approval...

Does anyone know what batteries will fit in a G&P Marine buttstock? They make a custom one for it but it's out of stock everywhere. Would a basic nunchuck work or one of those G&P Crane Stock batteries that is shaped just like the stock?

It is usually call a safety latch or safety switch depending on the manufacturer.

To shim gears means to place small very thin metal "shims" on the shafts of the gears to one, minimize wear and friction, and two, to align the gears to each other to eliminate excessive grinding and stress.

Alright, I have a problem.

I was rewiring batteries to deans connectors before a game. I had got a few of them rewired and my best friends girlfriend thought she would help out. She cut one of the connectors off a 7.4v lipo with wire cutters but instead of snipping one at a time, she sliced the entire thing off. This caused a pretty big spark however I didn't see it and she handed me the battery anyways. I put on the deans connectors and when I was finally done with all the rest of the rewiring, I tested the batteries. I went to test the one she cut for me and it wouldn't fire. She then tells me that when she cut it, it had sparked.

So this is my problem. I have a 7.4v Lipo battery sitting here that doesn't have a charge. Would charging it be a problem since I'm pretty sure she shorted out the battery, or is it safe to give it a go. I would rather not waste a $30 battery but I don't know what kind of risks I would be taking.

Moral of the story is, never let best friend's girlfriend touch anything airsoft related Try recharging the battery but put it in a lipo bag just to be safe. That's what i would do. Hope everything works out for you bro!

I like watching airsoft videos. It's part of my daily chairsofting routine. GoPros, camera guys, I don't even care if it's edited or not. There's picture threads on AO, what about starting a video one too? I'm starting to get tired of scoutthedougie, as great as his vids are, I'd like to see something a little closer to home.

Would it be weird/against the forum rules to have a videos thread, for people to post videos they made at events?
