I don't want to sound like a braggart d-bag or anything... But here it goes...
I have a real copy of MW2 sitting right in front of me right now. I work at a Family Video part-time, when I am not in school, and I got a pre-street copy of the game. A lot like the pre-street movies I get every week. So far the campaign looks pretty good and plays pretty good. I like it so far, but I will warn you, it is VERY much like CoD4. So far so good, no multiplayer yet though, I am wondering if they are going to ban my account if I try!

Completed the campaign... It was about the same length as the first Modern Warfare, but in most of the levels the intensity was cranked to 11. There are a lot of "WTF NO F'ING WAY THAT JUST HAPPENED!" moments, a couple of them irked me a little but nothing that turned me off from the game. Modern Warfare 2 keeps the tradition of a very cinematic experience, with scripted events and cinematic cut scenes throughout. In some parts of the game it turns into a short 1 to two minute movie every time you go into one of these moments, I don't want to give any spoilers though but I will say this; the ending sequence of the game is ridiculously cool. Also during the campaign, one of the most chilling but cool levels has a great throwback to old school '80's movie fun ( spoiler: "Wolverines!" )
I did end up getting on line. I wasn't banned as I had feared originally, thank Jeebus. From the maps I have played so far, they are all HUGE. 1 is a remake of a Call of Duty 2 map, the one with the trenches and the huge open fields. There is a lot of nooks and crannies, but at the same time, almost everywhere has 2 or three ways to get to it, so being out flanked is always a real danger. I sometimes think that they might be a little too big, especially for the normal player count of 6v6, Ground War is going to be great on them though. I don't want to give anything else away, but I will leave you with this little tidbit though... You have to earn the "Noob Tube" now, it isn't just given to you, figured that would cheer some people up! To the others above, I agree still, I like Battlefield games a little more than Call of Duty. But this is still fun.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's Brecourt. In the 4th COD they remade the map of Carentan into what's now known as China town. I was soooo happy for that because Carentan was my favorite COD2 map. So I new everything about China town when I first played on it!

Canceled my MW2 pre-order.
They screwed the PC gamers.

ShadowFox, there is musical blurbs thrown in when you do cool things. And you can load MP3's on your consoles and play it while you play if you wanted...
Right now I am sitting on rank 33 of 70... And it is fun. Just wondering if they are going to reset the servers on launch day, making me lose all of the stuff I have unlocked so far ( LOVE my Mk. 17 SCAR-H with that EOTech ). I feel bad for all of the PC gamers though, I feel I would do the same thing though, given the situation.

Yes I have actually. It is a great up-close rifle. They made the stats ( unrealistic Call of Duty stats after all
) similar to the SCAR that you unlock before it, but the accuracy is a little less. I know ( as well as everyone else around here ) that 7.62 and 5.56 are different, but hey its Call of Duty and I can still throw a grenade like 100+ yards! Its rate of fire is faster and its reload is faster than the SCAR though, which I like for the tight maps. It really shines with a EOTech or a Red Dot sight, I went 33 and 5 with it earlier this morning in Ground War: Domination. You start with the Famas and M4 ( it has S-System rails and flip sights, but they still call it the A1 even though it has the removable carrying handle and not the solid one, and it is two tone tan lower receiver and black upper ).

I'm picking my copy up after sociology tomorrow.
I'm looking foreword to the online aspect the most. The campaign mode in the first was exellent in my mind compared to the others. I did love WaWs, but not as much.
