Mesh goggles and facemasks.

Years ago when looking for goggles I could use I came across the mesh goggles, but was turned away from them when I heard that they still let BB fragments through. Nowadays, do you think they'd be safe enough to use, especially if you have glasses on underneath, even if they're just plain ones? Heck, do most fields even allow such a thing?

Just something I've had running through my mind for awhile since I want to get back into the game soon and need better eye protection.

I haven't seen a field around here that allows them. Most of the field rules I've seen even specifically state you can't use them.

Most fields require full seal, non mesh goggles. So you are out of luck.

Well then I'm going to need to find goggles that won't fog every five seconds that aren't paintball masks. Suggestions?

Goggles with fans... pretty much the best solution.

So I guess sighting in isn't an option for someone like me then? I really wish mesh goggles were allowed with glasses underneath. Seems REALLY silly that even with that they're still not allowed.

Save face has some decent goggles with room for prescription glasses underneath. If you have to wear a paintball mask you can put a riser on your scope.

I also wear glasses and have always had to rely on the fan option. I recently switched to Revision Bullet Ants with prescription insets and Im going to need a fan for them too.

Best way to prevent fogging in your current setup is to apply the GEL FORM of RainX to the inside of your lenses.

Also, some fields do allow mesh with ANSI rated glasses underneath, but check with the field operators before hand, because this is somewhat rare.

No field in ohio that I know of. Its a safety and insurance issue. Please use the search feature on the forums. This has been brought up numerous times

This honestly seems like it'd cause more problems than anything having gel on your lenses, and it'd have to go on my glasses as well.

Don't take this the wrong way but it seems like you have your mind made up as to what you want which unfortunately as has been stated just isn't going to happen in ohio no matter how Silly it may seem on the surface.

Personally the possibility of of damaging an eyeball rather than investing in good eye protection that meets requirements of every Ohio field that I am aware of is what seems silly to me .

Mesh goggles and facemasks.

They are tons of options for people with glasses. As for fogging, a $20 micro fan can be added to most face masks or goggles. Here is what I run currently, the goggles are okay but they fogged a lot, not anymore though. The fan fixed the issue and I wear gasses with this set up.

I have a set of the dual 25mm fans from these guys mounts on a set of JT's. I wear perscrips under them and with this kit I have zero fogging issues. I set them up so one blows in and the other blows out. Makes sense in my mind.

My friend WITH glasses is the one who found this out.

The gel dries into the lenses and you never see it again.

I wouldn't suggest something that multiple people have tried and approved.

ESS makes prescription inserts. They work really well I have had no issues on deployment or in the field. I have learned that if you go normal goggles taking foam out from around sand vents will stop fogging I have had no issues with fogging. As far as Mesh it has been proven ineffective protection its just not safe, The rule is there for your protection as well as liability for host. As with any gear find some thing that works for you. I recommend browsing this site http://www.esseyepro.com/ it has a lot of good options.

If you look on ebay you can find these little magnets one goes on each side and you just moves one and the other one wipes the fog away really useful. They are designed for firefighters.

I just ordered:
http://www.amazon.com/Dye-I4-Special...eywords=Dye+I4

I have used them before and they are great. They fit over smaller glasses, even though I would suggest suffering contacts for airsoft. The lower portion is rubbery so you can get a good cheek weld. The lens is huge so you can still see.

Mesh sucks, there is a reason we only allow Ansi rated goggles.

There is nothing in airsoft more valuable that good eye pro. Well, good eye pro and water.
