Get whatever you feel YOU would like. Look around, come up with some ideas and then come back and ask if anyone has had any problems, experiences, etc with what YOU think you would get. This is why opinion posts scare me. ![]()

To answer your question, just don't buy clones from Evike. They are having trouble getting anything right. Find what you want, and head to ASGI.

I prefer this...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...EGVM19Y82X281W With these... http://www.amazon.com/Crosman-plasti...ef=pd_sim_sg_1 But in all for-realness buying a first gun is a big deal. I suggest going over to your nearest Airsoft Shop and checking a few out, holding and test firing them. What looks good on a screen is a lot different from what feels good in your hands. Its the only way to really know what to get. AirsoftArms- http://www.airsoftarms.com/index.php AirsoftSmith- http://www.airsoftsmith.com/ 321Airsoft- http://www.321airsoft.com/ Those are all local to Ohio and all owned by members of these Forums. Check them out, Talk to the owners about coming down to check out their products. Im sure they would love to meet you and help you pick out your perfect gun! |

Have you checked all of them? Im sure you can find a small local one if not then drive for a while. And if neither of those suit you, I suggest the "Trial and Error" Method. Buy what looks good to you, and if you dont like it save up and get a different one. I suggest a road trip to find a shop. Much less expensive for you and you get want you want the first time around. Good luck. I think this is all we can do for you.

like they said in other post like this. you have to pick up the gun. hold it. move around with it. and see how it feels. then have an image you want you to look like in 1, 2, or 3 years and what you want yourself to look like in the gear/gun. thats the best way to solve your issue.

I'll buy it for $140.00!
![]() Do you even have any idea of what kind of gun you want? Why not research it (on your own) and keep saving money for better quality? Once you know what kind of gun you want (M4, AK, MP5, etc.....) you can start googling reviews of different brands and models. Once you finally know exactly which gun it's going to be, start surfing for the best deal. Remember, local stores prices can beat out internet stores once you add in shipping. I'll get yelled at for doing your work for you, but here are some decent guns for a good price that are in stock at local stores: http://www.airsoftarms.com/TSD-Sport...ompetition-AEG http://www.321airsoft.com/Echo1-AK47-RIS-JP-09A.htm http://www.airsoftsmith.com/store/pr...oducts_id=1313 Any of those AEG's will blow your budget before sales tax is added. You also need a quality battery, smart charger, ansi rated goggles that do not fog, and quality BB's. That's another $100.00 easy. Wait if you have to to save more money, but don't go cheap on this stuff. It will pay off in the long run. I cannot stress this enough: Quality Goggles, Quality Battery, Quality Charger, Quality BB's! Take it form me, airsoft sucks when your looking through fogged goggles at a high end gun that jams or won't fire at all. Last edited by Pappy; 07-08-2010 at 08:01 AM. |

Agreed. Buy Kong's Saw. Everyone else is wrong.
Closed. Tyler- You need to do some research on brands and different models in your price range. Ask specific questions, not just "what should I get"
