M203 shell (Putting it back together)

Ok, learn from me. DO NOT take apart a m203 shell unless you have to. There are eight little bearings that go in 4 holes on the plunger. You will have a tough time getting them to stay in while trying to put the plunger back in the shell casing.

Now if you do have to take apart the shell here is what you do. (I give credit to D Man for helping me out on this).

Put two bearings in one hole and then put a dab of vasoline or gear grease over the hole to keep the bearing from coming back out. Do this for all the holes.

Thanks Again D Man

An in depth guide to the disassembly/reassembly of m203 shells can be found here, as well as links to the replacement parts if needed.

What worked for me was putting the bearings in their holes and securing it with paper wrapped around the piece to hold the bearing in place, and carefully inserting the unit back into the bottom piece of the shell. Worked for me.

Putting a 203 shell is easy i know all the parts of a shell and how each functions. If there is a problem with the gernade, i could name the problem and fix it. But yes i do have to agree that it can be hard to put the bearings in~ some times they stay in other times you have to hold all of them in or tape them so they stay in then take off the tape.
