Echo 1 Scar-H vs. Scar-L

Hi everybody. I was wondering if someone can explain the difference between the Echo 1 Scar-H and Scar-L. I understand that the real steal shoots different calibers (7.62 vs 5.56) but how do the airsoft versions compare. From what I understand the differences are:
-different sized magazines
-Scar H barrel seems to be slightly longer

The Scar-L comes with a 300 round and and 450 round HiCap, an 8.4 v battery, charger and a vertical foregrip.

Scar-H comes with 2 magazines (same size possibly?), a 9.6 v battery, and charger.

Is this information correct? Also, are the internals different? The scar-H seems to shoot a little hotter, ~400 fps while the scar-L ~370.

In conclusion, what is the advantage of buying the scar-H (more expensive) vs scar L besides the fact that heavy just sounds cooler . Is the extra money simply for a higher voltage battery, a stronger spring, and the ability to now buy more expensive magazines?

Thanks,
NDfan492

Well, in the Scar-L, the wiring connecting to the battery in the stock is visible with the stock folded, which is a horrible thing. In the Scar-H, that was fixed.

That is basically the only thing that I know difference wise.

Well. it seems as if you've answered your own question, that's exactly what it has.
It comes down to your preference. Personally, would go with the SCAR H for the extra cash, you get a better looking gun with also a longer more accurate barrel.
But stock batteries are never good, and the chargers usually are wall chargers, so pay no heed to it.

^Agreed with the batteries. You can use them, but nobody would recommend it. They are more for just testing the gun when you get it.

I would suggest the L just because the mags are easier and cheaper to buy. ITs really up to you though.

I believe the gearboxes are different, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
I think that the light uses a standard V2 while the heavy uses an SR25 style gearbox.

I would like to add that the SCAR-L takes regular M4-style magazines, so they are compatible with many diferent guns, and most brands of M4-Style magazines will fit in them. The SCAR-H uses the proprietary VFC SCAR-H magazines, which are 35-40 bucks a piece for High Capacity magazine holding 400 rounds or 90 dollars () for 3 mid capacity magazines. On the flip side, most M4 high capacity magazines range from 20-30 dollars anf you can get a box mid caps for 50-60 dollars, that's a box of 5-8. Very important stuff.

The SCAR-H is obviously going to be longer and heavier, so if you are of small frame then the SCAR-L may be a good idea. The barrel lengths really don't matter, since you will be getting similar accuracy from both rifle (assuming they are both of the same brand).

The SCAR-H is VFC OEM, the SCAR-L is D-Boys OEM. The only proprietary part in the SCAR-H's gearbox is the longer air nozzle and it's spring guide.

And do you have any proof? Do you have personal experience with both of the guns in question?

Could you tell us why?
Scar H looks more bad-a** to most people but is a tad heavier as it says
Scar L is lighter but has one of those '5.56' looks to it
Scar H has a longer barrel and higher fps for more accuracy.
Scar L uses more available and cheaper m4 magazines
Scar H has the stock problem fixed
Scar L has the more breakable stock
Scar H costs more
Scar L is slightly more affordable
Scar H as a different, but more efficient air nozzle
Scar L has a normal (but not as good) air nozzle that has more aftermarket parts
I would go with H purely because they fixed up the problem with the stock. I don't think you could repair it if it broke anyways. They're mostly identical apart from price and model. It his choice what he wants.

How does the heavy have a more accurate barrel than the light? Barrel length doesn't really effect an airsoft gun unless you compare a psg1 barrel to an mp5 length barrel.

Personally I prefer the H simply because as already stated it looks better, and it's more unique. I plan on buying the H as soon as my P90 sells.

IF you're willing to pay more money for magazines and deal with the extra weight, get the H. If you want to be economic or want a smaller gun, buy the L. If you want a good gun that will last, get a TM.

While the H is a copy of the VFC, it's not made by VFC. The quality in materials and manufacturing is not the same between the Echo 1 and VFC. The E1 version is made in China. VFC is in Taiwan. Where did you hear it was made by VFC?

Everything I've read indicates both are OEM by D-Boys. D-Boys did the scar-l first and copied the Classic Army, but then did the scar-h later and copied VFC instead of CA
