My Homemade Monopod built into my L96

I always wanted to have my very own monopod in the rear of my gun, but never had the chance until I stumbled across an idea. I took a monopod that was meant to stake into the ground and hold up the front of a gun and dramatically changed it!

I took a couple weeks out of my summer and invested my time into the project, so I would like to share it with whom ever it may intrigue.

Instead of posting hundreds of pictures on this topic and describing them all, I have decided to simply post a like to my channel on youtube where a video has been made on this topic.

Please understand that this is my first video/project for my L96 and may not be the best, so work with me. I do apologize, for the music in this video, that some of you may not be found of. I have also been informed that I should have put some captions into certain parts of the video to make it more understandable, so If something confuses you or you would just like to ask me something you can comment on the video or reply to this topic.

Thank you for your time, the website address is shown below.

Interesting. But considering there are not too many opportunities for a shooter to remain stationary enough to need a bipod/monopod combo, am not sure what it accomplishes.

Most of the time I ran with my L96, I was shooting from places that deploying a bipod would not have given me any advantage.

Good first vid man.....

A couple of ideas....

Better picture quality on some of your stills....
Captions are a good thing....
Include exactly what supplies you used to finish your project....

I had a first vid once too.....keep doing it, it gets easier....

Then it gets harder as more ideas come to you.....

Yes, I do realize that I will most likely never use the monopod in an actual game, I have just thought It would be something interesting to have, for target shooting, and whatever else, so thats why I made it.

Thanks for all of the advise!

Well if he's happy with it, then that's all that matters.
Pretty cool in my book.

Not to be a debby downer but I think you could of found a more efficient/effective way to make a monopod. But as stated before, if it makes you happy then have at it.
