Post Team W.O.L.F

Hello guys. Recently me and a group of friends began a airsoft team in Parma, Ohio. We currently have 6 active members and pratice weekly at local locations. As there are no fields by us but my friend does allow us to play in the woods behind his house. We would love to get some activity going in the Cleveland area and would appreicate any help we can get.

While we are quite well aware of the laws. There is a vast amout of parks around this location. Specifficaly one that is largely forested and less traveled.

Wolf902 I think the concern with this is all it takes is one citizen to get scared, hit by a stray bb etc. No matter how "largely forested and less traveled" it is that kind of play really puts the sport we all love at very real and very serious jeopardy. That is to say NOTHING about putting your own lives at risk. What's to stop a law enforcement officer from opening fire thinking you are armed with real automatic weapons.

Please don't take this criticisms as anything other than what they are. Advice to protect you and the sport we all love.

There are several fields around your area that are safe, insured and most importantly legal, good luck.

If your talking about the metroparks, there isn't a safe place in there to even think about playing in there.

I run, drive my car, and launch rockets in that area. Even though I know if I see anyone playing there I know what's going on (which I have before, and I have confronted them about it). But other people don't know exactly the same thing.

There a ton of fields now in your area, take those and play there and avoid giving us a bad name

I just purchased a house in Parma and have been looking for open fields around the area and I haven't seen anything that would be appropriate for Airsoft.

As others have mentioned I hope your not referencing the metroparks :/

Where?
Do some searches.

War Den is going to open soon, south of Canton
BTT is just south of Brunswick - private venue but he hosts classes, etc.

Do any of those locations have websites I can look at? Cause having a place close by for my team to play others would be awesome.

Look on the events page for May 22. We have a few pictures in the event posting for BTT. That's definately the closest field to you. You WILL need to wear full face protection though.

This is very concerning.

I'd recommend you guys follow the above suggestions and only play at legitimate fields, rather than ruining the sport for all of us.

Thank you.

If it is privately owned land, and no one is being effected by the game being played, it is not illegal to play. No matter what the law enforcements say, if you are firing into your own land, it is completely legal. The issue is people discharging them in public places, such as yards near others houses, but if you encircled by your own land, there SHOULD be no issues. I have played in the same 5 acres of land for the past 2 years and never had an encounter with the law. It is my land.

Besides being a necropost, he DIDN'T say that he owned it, it was just a nearby forested area. Big difference. He did say that his friend "allows" his group to play there. Does the friend own the property? Or does it just happen to behind the friends property?
