If a team can only stay for the Saturday event, and do not wish to participate in the Sunday competition, it must be stated in the application below. There will be a change to your price. The sunday competition will be gone over in more depth at the event.

Max of 20 teams (40 people) allowed. All people who wish to register must send a filled out application (found below) to: midwestsnipercup@gmail.com. Prepayment for accepted applicatants is mandatory. Upon sending in your application, it will be reviewed and if accepted, you will be given the account to send the funds. If you are accepted, you have 2 weeks for payment to be received.

Registration will end on: May 4, 2008. After this day, we will review all the applications and select the teams to be accepted. The accepted players will be notified where to paypal the money.

Again, prepayment is mandatory for both Sniper/Spotters, as well as guards. After payment is received, each person will recieve an event patch that they must bring on the day of the event.

Ghillie suits are mandatory for sniper/spotter teams, but style of ghillie is not regulated. Game will be played regardless of weather. Waivers will be available on site for those about 18. If under 18, parents/guardians must complete and sign a printed out waiver.

FULL seal goggles are mandatory. Wire mesh goggles are allowed for snipers & spotters only.

4 MRE's will be provided to each sniper/spotter team (2 per person). There will be hotdogs made on friday night for everyone, along with zip-lock bags for sniper teams to grab a couple extra before they head out onto the field for the night.

FPS Limits:
-Snipers shoot up to 550 fps with .20g BB.
-Spotters shoot up to 420fps with .20g BB, but if fps is above 350, it is asked that you remain on Semi-Auto only.
-Guards = same as spotters.

Event Operations - Sniper/Spotter team.

-After briefing, each team will pick a random unmarked envelope. Each envelope will include your camping location, your team number, scenarios, Map, etc.

- After briefing, you will be taken to your campsite. Once there, set up your camp. The necessities for your fire will be in a garbage bag in your campsite. from 9pm - 5am, you cannot leave your campsite. This is also a CEASE FIRE time, meaning absolutely no shooting. Use this time to review the contents of your envelope, as well as plan out your route and strategize with your partner. Also use this time to get some sleep or eat an MRE. at 5am you are allowed to now leave the campsite and go about your day.

- After 5am, all teams are free to roam in the bounds of the field to complete any of the objectives, in any order, at any time. All objectives are optionaland have a set point value. Objectives will vary in assignment, as well as difficulty. Each team will have the opportunity to complete all objectives.

-Snipers must use bolt action rifles. Spotters must use mid/low cap mags only (NO highcaps). It is Mandatory that at least one person in your two man team has a radio, yet it is recommended that you both do.

-Respawns:
When either the sniper or spotter is shot, they will announce they are hit, put on a red kill rag (mandatory), and immediately exit the field and walk to the designated respawn zone. You must also radio in that the 'Sniper or Spotter' from 'Sniper team #' has been hit. Points will be deducted for each death.

First hit: The team member that was hit must remain in respawn for 1 hour. The other team member can try to complete objectives on their own if they wish. If both are hit, then both are out for 1 hour. After 1 hour, the sniper can head to a designated area where the spotter must also go to. The sniper can only re-enter the game if his spotter meets him at the designated area.

Second hit: Same as 'First Hit' except respawn time is 2 hours. Points will be deducted.

Third hit: The team is deducted more points and that player is done for the remainder of the day. If the other member is still in the game, they must continue alone.

Suggested items:
-Blanket to lay on during period of cease fire.
-Waterproof tarp to put of as a canopy and cover your gear during cease fire.
-Watch (mandatory)
-Radio (mandatory)
-Flashlight
-Hydration Packs
-Bottled Water
-Compass
-Red Kill Rag
-Bug spray
-Event Patch
-Backpack (preferably a small one)

There are other items that can be used. However, if you have any questions about items and whether or not they are allowed, please pm me or mosin and we will get you an answer ASAP.

All these items can be left at your camp site, however it is encourage that you bring them with you so you donít lose anything. Again, the choice is yours on this one, but know that if you lose your gear in the field we can only help you find it for so long. If you are having trouble finding your gear then please radio into the command and notify them of your sniper number so youíre not shot out. However please place a killrag over your head for safety reasons and after you have found your gear you can take it with you to the main base or leave it in the field again, but please head back to respawn.

In your backpack, you should have room for your MRE's/extra food. Extra water bottles. Also, repair tools should be brought in the backpack as well. We would prefer that any gun troubles are done in the field of battle and under the pressure of a battle situation, to add more realism to the game.

Why we should pick you/additional comments:

Guards:

Arrive any time after 4pm on Friday. You will not be required on the field until the very early morning of Saturday (about 4:30-5am), so spending the night on Friday is highly recommended. Bring your own tents and supplies as you see fit. Guards are only needed for Saturday. All guards are welcome to stay on sunday to spectate the sniper competition, but again, we only need guards/generals for Saturday.

Guards/generals will also be hand picked, however it will be more lenient. We would still like to have more experienced players act as the guards/generals.

Guards will be assigned to a station, under the command of a hand picked general/squad leader. The general will be given an envelope with task instructions. These instructions are to be taken very seriously, as they add to the realism of the event. Generals are highly recommended to wear full face protection, as they will be targets for snipers, full face protection is not mandatory however.

If a guard is shot, they have a 30 minute respawn. Only then will they be allowed to return to the city they are defending and continue their duties. Also, remember that dead men donít talk, or remember past events after they have been shot out.

Guards may not leave the designated perimeter of their assigned base. If a guard spots a sniper/spotter, and has a 100% confirmed visual, they must radio it into command and await further instructions. If the sniper/spotter team fires their weapon, guards can return fire without radioing their general. Guards may also leave the perimeter if fired upon.

Recommended items:

-Red Kill Rag
-Watch (mandatory)
-Radio (mandatory)
-Flashlight
-Hydration pack
-Bug spray
-Event Patch

Guards will be provided meals as well.

I would also like to mention that we already have some interest in sponsors for this event. Thus, there will be a raffle where 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Wounded Warrior Program.

Just as an added note, to avoid clutter, I ask that both the snipers and the spotters application go into the same email. If it is not possible, that is fine, as we can just match names, but for convenience, please try to have both applications in one email. Thanks.

We're still looking for a few more sniper spotter teams, if those slots aren't filled, and you would like to attend as a lone gun, please send an Email to MidwestSniperCup@Gmail.com . Cost for a lone gun is $35, you will receive a patch which is your ticket to the event as well as 2 MRE's, and a good handful of water bottles.

It is highly suggested that you find someone else to go with, however if you cannot, but you would like to attend, you can send in your application.

Also, if you are sort of interested, but unsure on any part of this, feel free to email the same address and ask away, registration for this is going to close in the next week so I figure we might as well try and get a few more people if you'd like a chance at winning the trophy.

Thanks,
-Mosin

Due to a few circumstances, we had a few players drop out, which is creating slots for any additional players. So if you're interested in going, keep reading.

If you only want to play, and don't want a patch as a momento, and do not want MRE's, the cost for you is $15 ($30 per team)

If you want MRE's for your team, add $15 per person

If you want just patches, add $5.00 per person

If you're interested in attending as a guard, we're still looking for some as well. Price is $15 if you wish to indulge in the buffet the night before (Hot dogs and hamburgers fresh on the grill) or $10 if you just want to show up. Pretty much here is what guards are doing:

Waging a smaller (Sub Battle if you will) between eachother

Doing USPC Pistol Shooting and mini-events

Hanging out with the boys from Michigan

Shooting Snipers

If you're interested, send an Email to MidwestSniperCup@Gmail.com or send the appropriate paypal amount to Orionairsoftevents@Gmail.com

Thanks,
-Mosin
