Next time I think you should revise the "pie pan" idea. I liked it on paper, but I think the zombies had a hard time telling when the pie pan was hit. I know, for sure, that that was true for one of the zombies. I fired five rounds into their back pan from 2 feet away and they said they never felt it. It might have been because the pans were absorbing the impact (by crushing) instead of transmitting it to the player. A few zombies had thicker pie pans which were less prone to crushing. You might want to talk to them and see if they felt their shots better.

I think they were supposed to hear the noise from the pan, but it was sort of noisy.

Everyone that was on the tan team must remember my hunter negotiations at the beginning of the game. I was the hunter who got literally everyone to stop firing and was able to simply creep up while everyone was staring at me to grab someone and people just freaked out. hope you all enjoyed it

This was definitely a blast, and really showed off the strengths of the Conquest field. Having the action range from the dry pond type areas beyond the speedball field all the way over to the green fort and then into the factory itself was awesome. I'd have liked a couple more hours to work on gathering loot, as it seemed like both teams just pulled a snatch and grab rather than trying to loot each other. Regardless of that, it was a fantastic time and I was glad I was able to make it.

Exclamation

FINAL SCORES IN!!!!!
SCG 905
WOLVERINES 995
UBCS 850

Wolverines victory!!!!

Although the two other teams did not win it what took place will affect next years storyline.
Both Civilian teams collected the same amount of food, however, the Wolverines did not collect enough fuel to continue their raids, nor did they collect enough medical supplies. There Wolverines did collect more than enough files to uncover Umbrella's big secret.
The SCG collected a lot of supplies, but they werent worth enough points to make up for the lack of files.
UBCS, you guys while outnumbered and most of the day cornered you still managed to complete all but 2 objectives... Unfortunately the Wolverines and SCG also uncover your secret so now more of your forces must be deployed to hunt them down and destroy them before the Government gets involved. Unfortunately the Wolverines captured your Biohazard container, thus losing you big points, but not gaining them any.

Once again thank you to everyone for coming out, i had a good time, and in all of my pictures i see everyone smiling so a lot of people had to have had a good time.

SCG- sorry about not having a picked leader it totally slipped my mind until that morning.

Banker- i tried to find smaller tins for the Hunters but unfortunately i couldnt find any cheap 1's. Next year there will be a few modifications to their rules.

Makkyo- i feel your pain on the night mission, if you ever saw me i was the Ref with the Surefire foregrip on the MP5, trust me i wanted a night game, unfortunately Saturday was a no go, and most people had to work on Monday, so it was stuck in the day. next year we will plan for a night time game in spring or summer, but i may be in the Police Academy, so it will be difficult for me.

Ultradodger- the whole single shot from a shotgun thing was because, last year we had to pump 9 rounds into a zombie b4 they would go down... So simple solution all shotguns kill with a single shot, there were many occasions where i had to say shotgun to people as i shot them. We also want shotguns and pistols only at the events, but we never will get that.

Plan on also seeing future milsim games from Ronin at Conquest also. We are currently planning a CQB game.

Ahhh, I see. Well, nonetheless it was still an amazing game. On a completely unrelated note, I had something to ask. The guns were marked with various colored nylon zip ties to signify if they were fit for indoor or out door use. So, why not the same for magazines? Maybe just a simple peice of colored tape or something around the mag. Done in the same mannorism as that chrono station. Show the mags you plan on using, get a colored *insert marker here*, and be on your way. Oh yeah and....

Ultradodger - that is a good idea but i dont think that will work because that will take alot of extra time. and also that if they are using a hi-cap they could easily take tape from a mid-cap and put it onto a hi-cap...yeah i know sounds like it would never happen but people brought alot of hi-caps we actually found some after the event

That is true, I didn't think of that. People are just dumb. I mean, you have slow moving unarmed targets in mostly wide open spaces, and you still feel the urge to use 300 round high-caps? I guess if people are that determined to cheat there is nothing we can do about it. Just chastize them when we find out. lol

I doubt that the people using hi-caps did so because they wanted an advantage. I use hi-caps at most games because I got two with my gun, and I've never replaced the. But I don't like them any more than everyone else.

I nearly had to use a hi-cap in the game. I had requested rental magazines, and because of a snafu, there weren't any.

I did manage to borrow some, but if I hadn't I would have (hopefully with permission) used a hi-cap, and just been on my honor not to load more than 200 rounds.

Frankly, hi-caps aren't any better than mids. They make noise when you move, and instead of reloading you still have to wind them up.

You make a good point, but it's moot in this case. The weren't allowed, and yet people used them.

Sven I have a question for you if you planned on renting mags why would you bring a hi-cap? Even though you know that they were prohibited from being used in this event. So what if you only used two hundred rounds. That makes it a lot harder for zombies. When Ghost spent hours setting up the player packs, rules, and other guidelines where I read no hi-caps were allowed in play. I would guess the main reasons they were not allowed are

1 - to add realism in not being able to shoot nonstop
2 - to put a little fear in your head before you enter a room wondering if you have enough ammo.

I personally think it is innapropriate because you didn't have to use it if you would have asked around seeing if you could borrow 2 mid caps from someone they would let you. I would have, I brought 8 because I always over pack. I thank you for coming clean and admiting to it, but this post was directed at everyone that used a hi-cap.

Just spend $50 and get 8 MAG 130 round micaps

Sven hi-caps are alot worse I have 5 450 round hi-caps(I never use anymore). I can have a shootout with a SAW and still have ammo after his box mag is empty

A couple points.

I brought the hi-cap for the crono. I wasn't sure when I would be picking up the rentals, and the instructions said to bring one of my own.

Also, as I stated in my post, I didn't use the hi-cap for anything but the chrono. I did manage to borrow.
The reason that I nearly had to was because I was running late, and arrived right as the game was about to begin. Luckily for me the other guy at the chrono was also using an AK. If that hadn't been the case, I would have done whatever the officials suggested, but I'm guessing that would have been to use a hi-cap. I drove all the way from Cleveland and pre-registered way in advance, I can't see them kicking me out for something that wasn't my fault.

That said, I do intend to buy some mid caps of my own, when I can. I fully agree that hi-caps suck, but I'm a college student. I only get to spend about 40 bucks a month on fun stuff, plus whatever I can save from my food money. I can't buy everything. At least not at once.

My point was not that I wanted to use hi-caps, or that it was ok for people to sneak them in, but I can definitely see it from the other side. If I had gotten there, been unable to borrow magazines, having reserved them well in advanced as instructed, and not been able to play, I would have been royally pissed. Especially since my friend was playing, and I would have to wait out the entire game before going home. Perhaps I would have been able to borrow a gun from someone, but everyone on my team was already moving out and there wasn't time to ask.

I'm sure that's not the case for most people. I figure that most of the people who snuck in hi-caps either didnt read the rules and figure out that they weren't allowed, or didn't care enough to ask to borrow any. As far as I know there were plenty of every other kind of magazine available.

Dead subject people brought hicaps in, next year we will slam them if they use them without being told they can. We are getting ready for our next event with that in mind, everyone should have more than enough time to purchase mid caps, i am also a college student, and i can still afford PTW mags and a PTW, its called credit

Oh God, I hope that you're joking about putting airsoft guns on the credit card...

Anyway, I should have no problem getting midcaps for the next game. I might also go ahead and get myself a shotgun as a just in case thing. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Just escort them off the field and tell them to leave. Its not just your event. Its everyone who paid to play. Why should one(or more) individual ruin it for the rest. After the first example i'm sure your rules will be taken much more seriously the next time.

Right, but that's different from putting it on credit. One involves using a credit card to spend money that you have, and the other involves spending money that you don't have and wracking up huge debts, which is fearfully common amongst people our age.

I forget the exact numbers, but the average college graduate has thousands of dollars in credit card debt, which is phenomenally stupid. There's absolutely nothing wrong with using a credit card, so long as you pay your bill in full every month and don't get hit with the ridiculous interest rates.

So I'll assume that you were just making a funny, and you're not screwing yourself over.
