Norinco SKS, picked up at a gun show yesterday for 400. after a strip-n-clean, were running good. got two 20 round tapco pmag style mags as well. sho looks nice.

Urban I need to get a thread FSP first lol then I'll get my stamp for a suppressor lol. Also got to fix the feeding problem. Bought another mag catch to replaced the one on there that has been milled down to much.

heres a couple quick pix of what i built last week..

NO i dont buy my guns.. these are built from the ground up out of parts..

both of these are chrome lined barrels in 1/9 twist. guns are in 5.56 & yes teh one is actually a SS barrel, hider & even shank/lock section. they are on Rock River LPK's on multi cal lowers made specially for the AR57 platform & company.. they had some extra's so i snatched them up for my builds.

yeah i mill my own from blanks, but just didnt want to have to mess with anodizing after...

bad news is these are both semi-auto.... which sucks. :-(

made some additions to mine, a TA01NSN, surefire m600c, and cqd rear sling plate, and a colt car stock. been getting things ready for my block II upper, just waiting on an upper receiver.

Very cool, I think for a while ill keep it on, since it will be for target shooting, but if it becomes a home defense weapon I may cut it down to 18 inches.

As for the 22, I actually had to pay more for the mag than the gun lol

Actually just got my stock kit and muzzle brake on it. Saiga 5.45. Got it as an actual AK with a welded on thread cover, and crappy US stock, put a real Russian thread cover on it, and all new MilSpec Plum stock kit. I love this gun in this round, amazing to say the least.

Found myself a brand new unissued unfired Bulgarian Circle 10 Makarov PM at a gunshow for under 300, had to buy it. I love this little thing, accurate, reliable, and will chew up anything I care to load into it. Probably my new carry gun.

ok then here is a quick pic on my phone of the 9mm super Modelo...

i got this gun as a gunsmith special.. meaning it didnt work & was considered junk/parts

only took about 20 mins to get it to work... had a broken spring and the trigger mech was messed up..

so i put a 9mm regular next to it and you can see just how much bigger the case is on the 9mm super is.. this particular batch of ammo is 147grn stuff which in most 9mm regulars is subsonic or right at it... its still really quick in the Super and gives teh often abused 9mm round a whole new meaning.

some of you have probably seen 38 super before and this is similar but NOT the same.

the cases on the two rounds are a bit different as are the pressures...

as to shooting? this is an awesome gun to shoot if you like the 1911 base as it has all the good things and a couple of things that regular 1911's dont have..

no beavertail... which doesnt bother me at all.
& it gains a very unique takedown set up that instead of taking the barrel out and so on with the barrel nut..

all you do is hit the lever on the opposite side of this gun and the slide will come right off. you can do this one handed... very very easy to field clean in seconds...

these guns had some detractors as well, some of them had "weak steel"... this showed up a lot in the hotter 38 super round and sometimes in this round. the experts out there can narrow down what you have if you get one of these from teh serial numbers and the proof stamps.

the old guys on our board ran this one out for me and said it was from a solid time frame/batch.

no telling how many rounds have been thru it, the rifling is good and thats even with me putting several thousand rounds of corrosive stuff down the pipe.

Actually the heel release is the main reason I want to carry the mak, I find it really easy to use, and I've had a lot of problem with holsters dropping my mags with the standard push button model, that's why my P95 (with a slide mag release) is another of my favorite carry guns, its just a little to big.
