What rule was violated for bringing up real-steel guns and airsoft?

Well the rule is that real steel and airsoft should not be intermixed. Mainly because it is dangerous to have real guns and airsoft in an environment where people shoot at each other. There is the possibility for someone to pick up a real steel, think its an airsoft gun and kill someone. I highly recommend that no one does this!

Add on to 79 ^^^ 99% of the time people use wiki, video games or movies as experience with real steel. The other 1% actually has used the real steel equivalent and knows airsoft isn't even close aside from looks & basic functions. Then all of it gets dragged out into pointless threads with noob weapon "experts" debating things they never actually experienced.

Side note:
Ballistics is the number one difference between airsoft & real steel. 150-300ft is a cake walk in the real steel world. In airsoft it's a huge challenge & cost to get those ranges. I use a PTW and the wind still cripples my long range shots. Sometimes that drives me crazy but that's the nature of the beast. I had to break my real steel mentality coming into this sport.

Ummm... Modifying real steel firearms or making real steel fire arms is a felony in most places. Locutus alluded to it, probably hoping he wouldn't have to say it, but I guess that someone might need to spell it out a little more for some of our simpler members here...

Modifying or making your own firearms is a dangerous and irresponsible practice, and furthermore making or modifying airsoft weapons to fire real rounds is also a horrible idea. If it is even possible in most cases, though I am sure that someone has and will try. I will not sit idly by and let something like that happen. I just got into airsoft, and I am not going to let something like that ruin something that I honestly have fallen in love with.

The original poster was wondering why it was deleted. Which this thread answers: If you're going to talk about breaking numerous federal laws and regulations, it's not welcomed on this forum.
