As far as being a retailer, he once made custom guns to order off his website, but I heard that it got a bit out of hand when he got behind on orders and closed his website. It is now my understanding that he builds custom guns, and only sells them after they are built. That way he sells what is already built, so there is no getting behind on orders.

Regardless of if he does that or not, this issue is still one of overly frequent posts on basically the same topic; Custom Guns. There have been several times when he's made multiple posts back to back. I'm not telling him to stop, but rather to consolidate his threads into one individual thread, or something more on a less frequent basis,which is why I suggested that he do a weekly blog. Whether he's contributing to the community or not will be up to each individual who reads his posts so each person will judge that. Again, it's an issue of whether or not he could make one longer post instead of 4 or 5 shorter posts on the same topic. The idea that he's posting a lot is obviously something that has caught several people's attention to the point where it's become an issue.

If you want to see the issue firsthand, take one look at the AEG forum and it becomes painfully clear that Killbucket's threads are definitely getting out of hand. http://airsoftohio.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23 If you count them, there are 15 posts on the first page alone. Not including the Sticky posts, he has 15 out of the 25 on the first page, and 17 out of 25 posts in the second page, and all of those posts were made since August 22nd. If you don't think that's a bit out of control, I'm not sure how else to describe it.

All I'm asking him to do is to consider consolidating his posts to one thread instead of making 10 different threads about the same topic. It's simple and I don't think I'm being unreasonable in that request.

Checking the recent posts, didn't see any posts regarding LPEG's. If you're confusing Echo 1, JG, etc, for LPEG's, which some people do, I only saw one post in reference to an Echo 1 today, but we're getting off-topic. Echo 1's and JG's technically arren't LPEG's, they're AEG's. I'm personally going to refrain from judging whether Killbucket's threads contribute to AO or not, as it it isn't up to me to make an overall decision if they do, but as I've said a million times, there are always going to be "crappy" posts, newbies, and repetitive questions, and it's never going to end. You can either choose to be supportive of those posts and players and help them, or you can choose not to. One contributes to the forum, the other does not. Whether people will think that Killbucket's multiple postings contribute in a way that balances out what many consider to be less important topics is for people to decide. Again, I'm just asking him to consolidate his future postings so that he's not drowning out all other recent topics.

As I said at the beginning of the post, he might be done mass producing guns, but he's still selling them, and what's more is he's not giving the patterns away for free, but selling the patterns, so technically at this point, I feel that he is abusing the forums to some extent by spamming non-retailer forums about all of the guns he's made and letting people know about the patterns being available. I no longer build guns, period. After upwards of 300 builds, I just couldn't handle seeing more orders stack onto what was supposed to be

A retirement hobby.
As I knew that I was soon exiting airsoft due to Wifey's health, I made a concerted effort to get my body of DIY info "out there". I learned a LOT in four years, most of it is free to learn from. There are over 20,000 pics hosted on my site, and linked the world over. If I save ONE NOOB from buying pearls for his swine, It's a win.
I will ALWAYS sell the patterns, but it's not reasonable to expect me to get nothing for them...They are based on over $150k in CAD time (at $40/hr), and at $15 a pop, average ONE a day, it's gonna be LONG time before I even get close to breaking even!

To those with supportive voices, THANK YOU. To those offended by my wife's chest, turn the page fer Pete's sake, is your arm broken?
From time to time, I WILL make new airsoft guns, for ME alone. "Keeper" has the last SIX I've built, there will be no more offered until after I croak.


I will be liquidating the "standard airsoft gun" collection of mine, at loss-pricing and call it a day.

Barely. Most have at least been repainted. Some have been modded to the point that only another modder will ever make them whole again.

I'll be hiding a page on my site with a garage sale of sorts, and listing everything, working or not.

I have several boxes of M4 stuff alone, rather than sort it, I'll photog it, and dump it all into a box, and send it off that way.

The WonderGun stays here, it has to.

All M14 bits are GONE, I threw away three boxes of flash-hiders alone, packaging and delivery killed the small spares market completely. M14 stocks eat a lot of space when you have over a hundred of them. Off to the dump, two whole pickup loads. You shoulda seen the guys at the recycle station...first shock, then WAY curious, and then walking away disgusted, at the lack of barrels/actions on them. They never even got close enough to see the wood was fake.

I'll be doing the same with the 1919 inventory of parts here- off to the grinders, I'll get some fun pics of that, all my hard work going into the chewer...

Well it's not your fault this place is full of ******** Killbucket. Some of your creations are sweet. ex. the M2 & the M134. I wish I had a CnC shop to create that M2 lol. The truck battery video was a classic too.
