kinda funny story

Alright.. so me and my friend were just chillin on top of the fort we made eating food and shooting at boards n stuff.

So we decided to go in and take a break and bytime we get back on top of the fort my friend looks over to the left and I hear.."AN OFFICER!!!" lol so we just sit down and wait for him to comeover cus we know hes looking for us.

Lol and he comes over and tells us the lady in this house (pretty far away you can hardly see it) called him and said something about BB guns lol so he just told us about being safe (we had glasses on etc.) and someother stuff about shooting animals lolz but it was funny cus my friends gun he had the orange tip that came on it from factory was really dim and only covered the tip of the flashhider so he was telling him how he would have shot him done if he pointed it at all towards him.But I was the good kid with my extremely bright flash hider lol =P

So we were pretty happy he said nothing about how we shouldnt shoot or anything and that he liked airsoft XD

there is nothing funny about that, you shouldn't have a gun out in view of any house however far off it might be. It's also not funny that you seem to laugh off that a cop said he would shoot you if the gun was pointed at him or that he gave you a safety lesson. Just because you have an orange tip on you gun doesn't make it any different than the kid who's tip was darker. I'd hope you would learn a lesson by this but it seems not.

Not sure how this is really a funny story. The mere fact that you had the police called on you meant that you did something wrong in securing your guns, orange tip or not, and is not really something that should be laughed about.

Eagle Eye, this isn't a laughing matter. You and your friends could have been in a lot of trouble, and potentially causing harm to the hobby and yourselves. That police officer won't care if that gun has an orange tip on it if you point it at him - he knows very well that anyone is capable of painting an orange tip on a real firearm.

You're the type of person that gets this hobby in trouble. You're playing in your backyard without notifying local law enforcement, your neighbors, and you probably don't even know county/city laws regarding the use of airsoft guns in public.

How old are you? Where were your parents during this incident? Are they familiar with the laws?

This story isn't funny at all there, EagleEye. In fact It's quite the opposite. You shouldn't EVER laugh about having the police called on you when you're in possession of an airsoft gun. Our game gets enough bad publicity as is, and the last thing we need is another kid to be shot because he was careless enough to take his airsoft gun out into a semi-public place orange tip or not.

I figured that by the age of 13, anyone would know that the public does not respond well to firearms, especially those that they cannot tell are fake.
