FRAGO Airsoft Event and Tactical Shooting Course 5/3/14

Who wants to play airsoft?
Who wants free training?
Who wants bragging rights as the top shooter?

If your answer is yes to any of these questions, come on out on May 3rd!
Members (current and former) of 6MM. Militia, Strikers among others wanted to put together a slightly different kind of OP. This is it. The goal is to provide a fun airsoft event that offers training and guidance to the participants that want to improve their milsim skill sets.

Arena 1 (optional) - Pre and during the event, offer some tactical training to individuals and/or groups from experienced airsoft and real steel trainers who are members of this community.

Arena 2 - The main event. A series of short missions in several different areas of the field. Some of the missions will be typical king of the hill and capture the flag style with a dash of milsim. This will feel like a 100 level event with a hicap restriction (NO HICAPS!)

Arena 3 (optional) - The FRAGO tactical shooting course challenge. Test your skills as an operator/rifleman by running through a series of targets while against a clock. Misses affect your overall time. Each participant will be able to run the course at least once. The first run through is covered by your field fee. Each additional attempts will cost an additional $2. Times will be tracked and placed on a leader board. Prizes will be awarded (most likely post event) to the top shooters. The Prizes are to be determined.

Who is FRAGO? - http://www.fragotactical.com/ FRAGO is a team of real world and airsoft enthusiasts who share a vision of putting on a very realistic tactical web series. This airsoft event is a way to keep getting word out on the series, which is scheduled for release this summer.

This has caught my interest. For this training, is it going to be moving, shooting stances, basic fundamentals, a hardcore team workshop thing? Can you provide more info on that please?

Another question I have is how will this shoot course work? In RS all the weapon systems will reach roughly a same distance. In airsoft we are lucky enough to have to deal with hop ups. If person A has a stock hop up while person B has done a lot to his and has better range, then there is an unlevel playing field. Will they all be close range, what about for sidearms, are those needed for the course?

Not trying to complain at all, I am interested in how you have selected what you have and how you came to your solutions for these problems and what all you have taken into consideration.

The training aspect will be focused more towards team, but individuals will benefit as well for when they need to link up with others. These tactics will not be ground breaking as it will be more geared towards newer players and a great refreshed for vets.

For the shooting course it will be fair for all levels of players. The engagement distances will be close enough for any rifle, pistols will not be needed so that all can participate.

Help spread the word on this event, the more people attending the better the experience will be!

Oh man, so expecting how to break a BB in two and hit two targets isn't going to be covered? Well darn.

I am really looking forward to this. Never miss a moment to improve.

The last 6MM related training event I went to was amazing!

If this is similar (which I guess it is), I would recommend anyone to attend.

I have been out of the country for few weeks now so I unfortunately can't give you guys a field update. One thing for sure is I started working on the airfield and brought few walls down. The 2nd floor of the air tower SHALL remain out of play since I did not get the chance to fix the ramp and floors.

Otherwise, the owner did not warn me of anything drastically bad or hazardous.

Have fun guys tomorrow. Can't wait to be back in the states.

It's Friday evening and I find myself in Grove City. All the good hotels nearest the field are filled because of graduations and other events. Any suggestions? I'm going to hope for a cancellation.
