A STRUCTURED open play hosted by the Black Swamp Rangers and Findlay Airsoft.

Thanks to all who have attended our events in the past. They have always been a blast! We look to continue that record with a spring open play at Riverbottom.
As some of you might have noticed, we are emphasizing that this will be a STRUCTURED OPEN PLAY[/U], meaning that this event will be structured towards players of all abilities, but in a laid back manner. Open plays tend to have a reputation for being "noob-fests." We are looking to dispel that notion and create a greater experience for everyone.

Ways that we intend for this open play to be different:
-Little tolerance for rule breaking, especially in regards to safety.
-Our games throughout the day will be ran more as if they were part of an OP rather than a hodge-podge of CTFs and death match games. We will look to use successful and fun objectives from previous OPs and open plays.
-Sportsmanship will be emphasized and enforced. If you're acting out, we're going to call you out.
-Look for a hybrid of objectives, including some MILSIM aspects.
-Above all else, it is our goal for everyone to have fun.

Admission: Will be $22 per player, plus $5 if they choose to purchase a lunch. The extra $2 will go towards paying to have refs throughout the day.

Schedule:
9:00-9:45 -Arrival, check-in, and chrono
9:45-10:00 -Game briefing and team planning
10:10-12:00 Combat
12:00-12:45 – Lunch
1:00-4:00 Combat
4:00-4:30—Clean-up and go home

The schedule is tentative—the sooner everyone is ready to go, the sooner we can play. Remember that you paid to play—we will keep things running smoothly and in a timely order with YOUR cooperation. We have built in breaks in between the different game phases to ensure that everyone gets a few minutes to chill as well as to reload and be ready to move onto the next phase.

**Pistols!!** We will schedule a pistols-only match during the day. If you plan to participate, bring a sidearm! We will utilize the shanties and the town in this. Pistols are also highly encouraged to be used throughout the day and you can expect certain gametypes to favor pistols.

Teams:
Green based- Any form of green BDUs: MARPAT, Tigerstripe, flecktarn, ATACS FG
Tan based- Any form of tan BDUs: DCU, Multicam, ACU, DESPAT, ATACS (tan)

Hunting camo is discouraged, and jeans/civilian clothes are highly discouraged. Please refrain from wearing black!

Rules:Rules:
We will be strict with enforcing the rules. If a player is caught cheating, they will receive a warning. The second offense will result in you being asked to leave with no refund.
An additional rule that will be strictly enforced is respecting the refs. Airsoft is an organized sport and there are absolutely no reasons why any player should be disrespecting a ref. There will be no warnings given for anyone who breaks this rule.

FPS Restrictions (Bring an empty mag to chronograph. We will provide high quality .20g BBs to test with)
AEGs
-400fps limit
Support Weapons
-400fps limit
DMR/Sniper
-550 fps limit/450 AEG*
-Bolt action or full auto must be completely disabled

Magazine Restrictions
-No drum mags on non-support weapons
-Hi-caps are discouraged, but allowed.
**Certain gametypes that we choose will favor midcaps, as well as potentially limit the usage of hicaps.

Minimal Engagement Distances (M.E.D.s)
1-350fps - Arm’s length
351-400fps- 25ft. M.E.D.
400-550 fps- 40ft. M.E.D.

Bang-bang and safety kills are highly encouraged at close distances to ensure safety, however there’s always been some grey-area in terms of utilizing them as well as outright abuse.
-Can only use them on a single person.
-Must have total control of the situation.
-If you have the chance to shoot someone from a safe distance, do so. Don’t count on a safety kill.

Gear:
- Everyone must have full seal eye protection, and those under 18 must wear a full-face mask
- Everyone needs either a red or white kill rag. We will not be providing them!

Grenade Rules
- No dummy grenades. Tornado/Thunder B's are allowed. Do not fill up sound grenades with BBs!
- The only grenades that will count as a kill are those that expel BBs
- Sound grenades will be allowed only as a distraction. They don’t count for kills.

Misc. Rules:
-Riot shields are allowed but the user may not shoot and move at the same time. Violators will be asked to return their riot shield to the staging area or their vehicle for the remainder of the day.
-No use of pyrotechnics.  Cold smoke grenades are the only exception.

Respawn/Medic Rules:
These rules will depend on each game throughout the day. Though, expect there to be numerous respawn points throughout the field.

We created these rules to maximize safety and fun. By attending our event, you are expected to read and familiarize yourself with these rules in advance!!
