The Ruins Raiders Airsoft Club invites YOU to our all day event at the NEW River Ruins. This Saturday game is a casual OPEN PLAY event so all airsofters are welcome.
The River Ruins as of now is about 15-20 acres of mostly level field with 5-6 foot tall grass and weeds with cut trails snaking through. There are clusters of trees throughout the field that give ample cover and concealment and a small forest with 6' ridges that offer dynamic play. We have numerous bunkers constructed out of hay bales.
Location:
17137 River Road, Athens, OH 45701 --- You will take 50 East from Athens to Exit 24A and cross the bridge, stay left at the first intersection, go about 2 miles until you see a pond on your left (Duck Crossing signs) and then take the left just after the pond onto River Road and go about one mile. You will want to drive until you see a blue house will be on your right, playing field on your left.
Field Fee: $10/person
Minimum Age: 11+ (11-17 with parent/waiver)
Maximum FPS AEG: 400
Maximum FPS Bolt Action: 600 (with 50ft M.E.D.)
Required Safety Equipment: full seal ANSI rated goggles or facemask, death rag
Recommended Safety Equipment: mouth guard, gloves with knuckle protection, hard soled boots, anti-fog wipes
Battlefield: Brick 3 story multiple room schoolhouse that has woods that ring 3 sides plus an open field on the front side.
Scenarios: Deathmatch, Downed Pilot, Protect the Medic!, Escort, Hostage Rescue + Others

0900-1000 - Setup
1000-1100 - Registration, Chrono, Briefings and Walkthroughs for new players
1100-1600 - Games
1400-1430 - Lunch
1430-???? - Moar Games

THE RULES:
When we call you to chrono bring an empty magazine for each of your weapons and we will supply .2g bbs.
BDU/Camo:
- Wear what you want. We have methods of marking the teams.
Armor/Vests:
- All body armor/vests/protection acceptable.
Riot Shield:
- As of right now riot shields are not allowed. We have to figure out shield rules first.
Ammunition:
- No bb limitation in the field.
Magazine:
- No limitation for this event. All LO/MID/HIGH/STANDARD mags and drums are welcome.
Grenades:
- BB projecting grenades ONLY
- NO sim grenades.
- M203/M79 type bb grenades are acceptable.
- Cold smoke grenades are acceptable.
- Hand or 40mm grenade ricochets count as hits
- Flashbangs are permitted
- Do NOT pick up other players grenades unless instructed to
Minimum Engagement Distance
- < 5-10ft "SAFETY KILL/BANG BANG" rule goes into effect. (use commonsense)
Medic Rules:
Each medic will be given 1 lanyard of 550 cord with 5 knots that are tied to a carabiner. A medic may move to a dead person or have the dead person brought to them with deathrag on their head for treatment which brings the dead player back into play. Treatment consists of:
- Diagnosing - hooking the carabiner to dead soldier and untieing the 5 knots
- Treatment - retieing the 5 knots
- Respawn - take death rag off dead persons head and give it to them
Water/Food:
- All players must bring atleast water. It is recommended you bring atleast 1 gallon and carry some with you during play. Any containers are allowed as long as you do not leave it in the field after usage. Always clean up after yourselves.
- It is recommended you bring snacks/food as well.
RENTALS:
AEG will be available for rental while supplies last and must be reserved by messaging TheMechanic before Friday 11pm. You must message me first! We may have broken guns or other problems. Do not show up and assume we have rentals! $15/day gets you a gun, magazines and batteries. Only premium seamless BBs will be tolerated in the rental and BB inspection will be required prior to loaning the rental gun.
THE RUINS RAIDERS HAVE AN OFFICIAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM TO BE SIGNED BY ALL PARTICIPANTS IN AIRSOFT EVENTS AT THE RIVER RUINS. WAIVERS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE RIVER RUINS THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 AND NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A LEGAL GUARDIAN YOU MUST HAVE YOUR WAIVER NOTARIZED.
