So I feel very giddy right now.

Posted 03-12-2009 at 04:44 PM by mDoug1911
Today I feel a terrific sensation that I've not felt in a long time, pure joy. Why you ask? This Friday I am meeting with the Marine Corp. recruiter for my area. I have been waiting for this day for over four years and now I can scarcely believe that the time is nigh. Imagine the feeling that you got when you pulled up to the house where your first date lived or when you saw you wife to-be walking down the isle or you husband to-be waiting for you at the alter, that is how I feel now. I can hardly contain it and control my emotions. Whether you think that becoming a soldier is a good or bad thing (considering we all play as one for airsoft) I hope that, at least once in your lives, that you are able to experience this kind of emotional flood that I am having right now. To me, this will be a shining moment in a rather shadowed existence. I once thought that perhaps nothing was to stick out in my life (and trust me even at 18 I still have had my share of hurt). But now I know that, upon my departure, whether good or ill come from it, I will always remember this moment as when I had a purpose, a dream, a goal that was within my grasp... A time when I had... Hope.

There all tricksters and liars heh. My recruiter was a great Marine, but a horrible recruiter. Nothing better than being a Marine, good luck. If you have any questions shoot me an email or a PM.

the giddy feeling will go away after your second MEPS trip. It turns into frustration and anxiety the second they give you your ship date.

The more you think about that ship date, the longer time drags on.

I was told three weeks ago I was shipping on the 17th.

They have been the longest three weeks in history.

    Good luck man.

(And no Horvath, I went Army)
