View Full Version : What's a Newbie?

Dear Professor Loki,
I was hoping with your extensive, and well documented, hatred of "newbies" and their questions that you could do us the favor of composing a treatise on the origin, natural habitat, common breeding habits etc... Along with preferred actions to be taken when one encounters this rare and beautiful creature. Nothing too voluminous, I would say a 10-20 page dissertation would do. I look forward to your findings.

Thank you in advance,
Dr. Rutherford H. Scurvy PhD.

That man needs to spend some time in detention. As for Loki, I can understand his hatred for noobs. Although I am a noob to these forums, I am not new to the wonderful sport of Airsoft. Back to the noobs, they ask repetitve questions, and prefere to not use that little button with the bold red script, entitled Search. That is why I hate noobs. And I do agree with D-Man, and an administrator should check his IP, for he may have just been banned, and created an alternate account. Thats a definate No-No kiddies

First of all, I don't hate newbies, I hate lazy people who don't follow rules. It just so happens that said lazy people typically are newbies.

Secondly, there really is no definition for newbs. It's an attitude more than anything else, though.

Never the less, you have posted from that IP before. Based on who posted from that IP I am going to take a wild guess and say it's Loki's place of residence.

Wow...it's nice to see all the work that's gone into an otherwise harmless post. For those that have figured it out, and Since Grease has opted out, I am another one of Loki's Roomies. The post is a harmless joke because Loki as you all know is constantly on the case on Newbies, for good reason, which is ironic since i myself am probably considered a newbie though i've played in as many games as most of you have in this last year, spending the same hours and money as you have toward this endevour (I can't imagine why people find it difficult to get into this sport). I appologize for those i have offended, though i can't think of any that I have, since the joke was at the expense of a group in which I am a part of (thereby nullifying the fact that I am making fun of a minority). Feel free to ban me or put me on notice or whatever you deem neccessary, but from an semi-outsiders view the attention and work put into a harmless pseudo-letter from an obviously fraudulent doctor of "Newbetry" seems silly. Secondly it was addressed to Loki, in the intent that others would find it humorous but leave response to Loki alone who i believe would have guessed the source noting the callsign. Thanks everyone for stopping in and don't take life so seriously, it always ends in tragedy.

Does anybody else think this is grounds for at least a warning about responsible usage of an airsoft gun? Maybe more?

Ahaha! I love **** like this. It just gets everyone so animated. Lemme just grab a beer and watch the hilarity ensue. It's a harmless post, don't worry, most of us see it that way. No one will ban you.
