Thought I'd share this with the larger community. I came up with the idea about 4-5 months ago, never got around to making until the other night. Yes, I now know about manufactured slings of a similar idea, but not exactly the same and this is cheaper and more HS/LD.

i had that same idea but i didnt know exactly how to rigg it so it would work propperly. i think im going to use your system and see how i like it.

that's pretty nifty too, but not the same thing. mine is two detachable single points, with the weak side being a caribiner and hook system so it's easier to attach/detach under stress than another single point with fastex.
for 60$ you could buy two, but a second fastex is another two handed operation- and last time I checked, most operators don't have four hands. :)

update- 120lb test cable ties are superior for the loop on the front of the gun than anything that paracord can do. If you find your paracord knots are slipping under the weight of your gun, try a heavy duty 120lb test cable tie, available at any auto parts or heavy duty parts retailer and made by trucklight or grote corp.
