I know this was a post a while ago before the forum was reset, but I thought I would bring it up gain, for a campaign idea...
In the year of 2012, the president of the United States is assassinated by a group of Rebels who plan to turn the U.S. into a Communist state. Soon following the assassination, the Vice-President takes over, but soon finds that the whole country is breaking into a civil war. As time continues to pass, two major factions develop, and those who don't join either are a sort of faction of their own. The two major factions are the U.F.S.A. (United Federal States of America) and the (United Soviet States of America). Those who haven't joined either faction are known as the F.P.A. (the Free Peoples of America) a war is being waged throughout the states. One neighborhood may support the U.F.S.A. and the other may support the U.S.S.A. and then there some who choose to be on the side of the F.P.A.. Neighbors pitted against each other. Families join together to support each other, and some families are split in two. As the U.F.S.A and the U.S.S.A. wage war against each other, countless casualties are inflicted upon the F.P.A. The F.P.A. previously stated that they will not take part in the war, but as they start to take more casualties, they decide to join in as a third party.
From here, I leave it to the skirmish holders, and event hosts to decide on the situation of the battle... I hope you enjoy. Also, to bring more of a sort of role playing atmosphere into this. For those of you who have paintball masks, who knows, maybe by the year 2012 the soldiers will eb wearing some sort of face protection like that. Just to use that in your imagination ;-).
