The ratio of guys to girls in airsoft is probably close to 100:1.
Now please, stop making topics.

It's a battle of the sexes.

If you look at any topic I have made, it has been for a good reason, "like hosting an event."

If you want to squabble at me like you're 10, at least use correct grammar and punctuation.

My girlfriend plays airsoft with us, and she does just as well as everyone else. Singling out the only female players tends to make them shy from the sport. They're there to have fun like everyone else, not to be paraded around.

Perhaps solution_zero did not approach the matter in a gentlemen's manner, but I do agree that guy's verses girls is a bad idea for the reasons he listed.

Yes but although it may be fun, what their trying to point out to you is compared to the amount of guy airsoft players, it's like 100 to 1. I guess you can even say 50 to 1 as events I have seen and been to with 50 people have consisted of 1 girl in attendance so trying to get it evenly matched would be very difficult as to your example of basketball is just about 1 to 1 guys to girls.

I wouldn't mind playing with females. But from what I've seen they aren't the best cantidates to play airsoft. Well the majority of them anyways.

Our female teammate Sierra killed quite a few men at OP:Northern Wind 2. If they're trained in combat they do quite well.

All I'm saying is simply, well... I saw a couple girls go to the emergency room basically. But then again the were hosed violently by a m249 if I remember correctly.

I have to put my two cents in here. The last event i went to OP. Blockbuster there was 2 girls there. Actually one on each team. But anyways from what i saw i was very proud of the girl on my team reason being was because she wasnt afraid of gettin shot she called all her hits and more then once saved our butts. Just like the rest of us i saw them running into the mist of things with heads up and guns blazing. It seems to me that most guys think about girly girls when they think of girls period. I know my G/F even though she has never been to an event has kicked my but a number of times. All in all i think havin girls vs guys would be great. Just one problem not enough girls. So guys get your heads out of your butts and start recruiting.

I can't imagine that someone who has an avatar like cowfur's could ever even respect women anyway. Besides the fact that the avatar of a woman with a gun makes a hypocrite out of someone that thinks girls aren't good airsoft players. and besides the fact that it's comments like those that makes girls/women not want to play with someone like that.
i need to stop because i'm way too mad and offended. how can you even say that the majority of girls are decent players when you haven't played against or with all of them... ok, i need to stop.

i agree with solutionzero in his response. and vixen on Fear is a great player. any guy should feel proud to have her on their team.

When was this? The only time I've seen one hurt was Irene II.

But thats because she got completely railed by about 4 people from 20 feet away. (Her fault for trying to sneak into a heavily guarded building.)

And no, it wasn't an m249. It was a Thompson, M16a2, Mp5, and I beleivea G36. And... the M16 also had an m203 that let the shell go right on her too.

No doubt, it'd be fun. But, not enough of them yet to have a game. And every one I've worked with, women wise, have been completely ruthless and pretty much *** kickers.

Merci, from Black company is very ruthless and cunning too. She just happens to get pissy when she walks her entire squad into the fireing zone of an M249 with no cover... :D

i dont care
i dont care if a member of my team sucks
i dont care if a member of my team has a crappy gun
i dont care if a member of my team is female

the point of airsoft is to have fun and to become a more tightknit community. singling out any airsoft players for a specific reason creates a division within that community and helps destroy what we are working to achieve.

lets work toward progress...

From what I heard, it was bad enough that I would have went to get checked out too.

As far as you stating females aren't good at the sport, perhaps you should play against some of the female players in the area. It is easy to sit around stereotyping individuals you've never even met. Do yourself, and all of us here, a favor by not singling out and stereotyping players. If anyone here needs to be singled out it is you, for your moronic comment. Good day, sir.

Vixen is a great player with much skill. We are more than proud to have 2 female players, both more than fully capable of dealing death.

Posts such as this one are detrimental to progress. When you single out any specific group of people and say "there should be more of them", you alienate them from the whole.

Oh, and i've seen quite a few women play airsoft, but few girls. Usually when the ladies do show up, some idiot makes a scene, and makes it harder for them to fit in(which is what i'm assuming is the goal), and have fun.

You know what i'd like to see happen to airsoft? Less know-it-alls, seriously.

Honestly airsoft may progress faster if we didnt have so many people who act immature in an attempt to be mature and if we had fewer people trying to be bad*** and instead trying hard to be a freind to other players, I'm pretty sure one of the people I'm talking about will read my post and say to his freind "wow this guy is such a fag" because he wants to sound cool and be funny.

Like most of the players here, I'm more than willing to extend my hand to any player that is not promoting sexism, further isolated very skilled players that are just here to enjoy the sport also. We're all here to enjoy the sport together, not degrade a certain group of players via stereotyping. Ask around to any of the players who attend the Striker's and Red Dragon events we frequent; I'm a nice guy, it just gets to me when I have 2 upset female players on the team that have to deal with such comments towards them.
