Depends on the fitting, but I am pretty sure the standard compliment is 12 plus two crew members and two pilots.

To build a mockup of it for a scenario
Length: 12.58ft
Width: 7.0ft
Height: 4.5ft
This was found here: http://www.sikorsky.com/file/popup/1,,167,00.pdf
........by typing "blackhawk helicopter cabin dimensions" in google. It was the first link.

Indeed. A little bit of research on your own would have yielded these results - without having to wait for other people to do it for you

Violator....who asked you? I've been here since long before you. I was here in the beginning or close to it. This is the first time I've asked a question without researching it. Keep your attitude to yourself.
4.5 feet seems a little small. You sure about that Brian?
My slow connection won't load the page.

Well, it's on Sikorsky's webpage, and they make the helicopter, so yeah, I would say those are the correct dimensions. :P
Oh, and my name isn't Brian. :)

Sorry bout that Loki, I was in a rush and saw Lo___ and immediately thought of Locutus.
I got dimensions from another page which verify those basic dimensions. My source had 4 ft 6" (54") for the interior cabin height.
I thought maybe they'd be a little taller inside than a Huey LOL.
Sikorsky still won't load for me. I have enough info for the task at hand. It won't be pretty, but it will be practical.

Ya, there pretty cramped. No standing room at all. but The Mi24 troop compartment makes the blackhawks look like a Limo.
You know, One of those old Pasenger pannel vans with the sliding doors on either side would work Great if you could find one cheap. Just rip out all the Comfy seats and replace them with Crappy aluminum and canvas seats,
Then Cram 12 guys with full battle-rattle who havent bathed in 4 weeks in the back like sardines, and that would be pretty darn close to what I remember it being like.:D

Irrelevant. Makes you look even better though, that's for sure.

Between 4 and 5 feet sounds about right. Definately no standing room in those. Can't say that I have been in the Blackhawk but I have been up in the HUEY, unless youre a midget you cannot stand upright. You're not supposted to be able to stand in the Helo, that would make them much bigger than they already are.

A great place for **** like this is www.fas.org . Their search feature much like ours (except theirs is used) is the main way to get information on the site. They have dimentions and history and what-not about all kinds of stuff. From ammunition to firearms to vehicles EVERYTHING. Check it out...
