As in like a conversion kit or actully built a gun from scratch that can fire BB's.
I only know of a few and they are all located in Asia.

from scratch ... and how do you i'm interested in tryin to build a spring gun
From scratch? Very rarely.
Why? Requires a full machine shop and then some. It's possible - but would be incredibly hard.

Indeed... To cast all the metal parts and then mill the proper areas and holes. And lets not get started on how to cast the ABS plastic pieces. I think the hardest part would have to be the teflon coated nickel barrel. Not only would have to make it absolutely strait (and aligned with the hopup) but you would have to make the interior diameter exactly 6.08mm (+/-.04mm). That seems rather tough to me.
On a lighter note..... It's not too difficult to build your own airsoft gun.... Now, to build it correctly and make it work efficiently is another story. I can build one..... as can Foxtrot..... but, for me (and I believe Fox can back this statement) it is TOTALLY not worth the heartaches and headaches. Not to mention the amount of money wasted in the learning process. Although, that advise didn't stop me. And now I'm broke, homeless, jobless, my wife left me, my dog is dead, and all I have to show for it is an airsoft gun that kinda works and a pile of parts enough to make a dozen guns.

I knew something was missing in my life.

So you mean the pile of AK parts I have that could effectively make 20 Ak's is useless now? Im crushed :(
But yeah
Defiently not worth it to start from scratch. Using a conversion kit or such as a base is a royal pain in the *** if you dont know EVERY little part you need. Because then you spend 1200+$ on the kit/parts/etc.. and then find out your missing like hop up screw 220384875 section B part 5 - and your gun doesnt shoot more then 4 feet :\

No fun making intended, but I doubt you are going to be a member of this site for long. If you are seriously into making airsoft guns, this isn't the site. If you are into a friendly community with regular wargames and an expanding variety of knowledge, then you'll like this site alot. I'm just saying that if you have your head stuck on making them, don't plan of finding much info here.

Hey legend, IF you have nothing nice to say to him, don't. He wont be the one making the gun....Thats why we have Scorpion *cough*God*cough.* I think in a way it could happen. There are alot of kits that make up the majority of the external gun. G&P makes the woodkits and metal front set. And classic army makes a inexpensive metal body. He is not looking into a guarder kit. Just play with the idea. Fox is right, base guns are alot easier. I hope I helped.

That might be difficult since nobody really sells spare parts for spring guns.
The closest you can probably come to is buying a few of the same gun second-hand, possibly broken versions to get a good price, and kit-bash them into a working gun.

Sounds like you just want to mess around with a gun. Go find a couple cheap ones and take them apart and mix and match, see what that'll get ya. Dude my advice.... just shoot them and be happy. ;)
