Well, what can I say, I had a blast this weekend.
First off, I'd like to congratulate the organizers for pulling off the day with few major problems. And, I also like to say sorry to Blade who had to spend the whole event repairing guns and selling stuff, not getting much time to participate :(
As for the missions, they were very well set up and had great senarios. Like many players, my only concern was the really short time limits, but with so many teams, I can see the reasoning for it, just too bad.
My team had as blast and I'm glad that these missions showed me the potential of my guys (and girl), as well as the problems that we need to work out, so it was very benificial.
And, congrats to IP for taking first place, you guys really pulled it off out there and I also had a good time playing in the open games when you and I were the only ones left in the end, good times :D
And last, but not least, great job to the shadow squads for putting up a good fight and keeping at the top of your game all day long.
Can't wait to see the potential of CM3!

Is anyone going to post the official results? If so, will it be here or on the CM2 website. I'm curious to see how everyone did and who won what goodies. I'd also like to see the individual mission scores and bonus scores if that's possible.
Thanks again to all of the organizers - especially Wallace and Blade for making it happen.

CM 2 was both a pleasure AND a disappointment. I was naturally pleased to see all of the Airsofters on site enjoyng themselves despite the weather conditions. It was great talking to old friends, making new ones and seeing the improvement some of you have made.
The disappointment comes not in any of the players nor organizers but in the field conditions. I am not griping about the rain/mud, that is normal and it happens. I have some SERIOUS concerns about the unsanitary conditions of Fran Bar, especially in the area I have nicknamed "Turd City". TC gets its name for the numerous piles of human feces I saw floating in the mud in the extreme rear of the CQB area. That is simply not acceptable. It's nasty, disgusting and probably a health department violation. I hope that no one gets sick from having been back there. Unless this condition is rectified, I will not return to Fran Bar.
That disappointment stated, it was a pleasure to play with all of you. The "tunnel rat" game at the end on Sunday was truly one HELL of a lot of fun.

Alright this is a new format.... Well anyways I'd like to thank Shadow Squad for putting up a bit of a fight... The Organizers for figuring it all out.... The 86th for picking up 2 6mm Militia guys so they could Play..... Decoy for loaning me his MP5 cause my M16 sucks.... Blade and Punisher for the great support they gave to this event, and all the sponsors as well. Keep up the good work.
Now for Advice: Jewtiful I think you're the one I got you need to keep your eyes open, I can't beleive you didn't see me. I wasn't to far from you during the cutthroat mission. I was spotting for my sniper and I lit you up with the borrowed MP5 you never knew where I was, and you even asked me after the mission I told you something to the equivelent of "my secret". Forgive me if I have the wrong guy I'm not to good at ID'ing my enemywhen that team is comprised of for teams and I barely know anyone on said teams. More Advice the FPS rules for the kill houses was definitely unfair stock guns only? I could've sworn that it was bumped to 350FPS but I was wrong and that fact more or less DQ'd my team from that mission.
Keep Up the good work.

the organizers have my thanks for putting together and executing a great event. Wallace did a nice job of putting it together and keeping things going on saturday. the refs/judges/shadow squad did great and i have no gripes about their performance. it was also nice to see everyone come out despite the bad weather and conditions. myself and my team had a lot of fun; thanks to everyone who showed up

I had a blast, I think us from BSTAB where the last people to leave on sunday. I was the dude in all black. I would have to say that my only complaint was that I broke my last USP... but that doesnt really count as a complaint so... I guess its just all positive stuff.
PS. I lost a tm P90 standerd magazine somewhere out there, I didnt have any markings on it (even though I should put something on it). I would love to get that back if anyone found it. Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
First, a big THANK YOU for everyone who came to the event, despite the nasty weather. We have (according to my statistics) 14 teams who competed in the event, with a total of 114 players. On top of that we have 38 Shadow Squad members and 4 organizers — that brings the total to 156 participants, truly the biggest events EVER in AirsoftOhio's history (and interestingly larger then many "national" level events)! Moreover, in a single day of event, we’ve executed 78 counts of the missions – a big kudos to all the Shadow Squad members for pulling off such an efficient feast.
I would also like to extend my most special thanks to Blade, Decoy, Punisher and Aegis for their great help in the event. Blade and Decoy had been an integral part of the long planning process, dated back to early February of this year. We had lots of discussions, from rules to missions to scenarios to processes. Without their help and refinement, the event will certainly have TONS of glitches that fall through the cracks. And as you've no doubt already know, during the game day Blade was stuck repairing guns all day, and Decoy had been roaming the field non-stop and helped keeping scores. Neither of these are easy tasks, may I remind you! In addition, Aegis and Punisher both lend their helpful hands as I desperately needed help, especially on running games in the Speedball area and keeping Mission 5 alive. Without their help, a lot of teams would’ve ended up waiting much longer then they already have!
Now onto the after-thought. This year, from an organizer's standpoint, I think the event went a lot better then last year's Combat Mission I. There were only minimal confusions on the field this year, and best of yet I have not heard much complain about cheating as compared to last year. Well, lets face it... what objectives do the Shadow Squads have, in motivating them into cheating?? They were there to LOSE, and the whole intent was really to "record HOW they lose" - aka the scoring process.
In addition, we are seeing more and more players establishing the habit of keeping their goggles on while in the field, and removing their magazines once they leave the field. This is a very important milestone in the betterment of our beloved sport - safety goes a long way in helping us KEEP the sport from getting banned by ignorance soccer moms and legislators who do not understand what we are doing. The last thing we need is more "incidents", and one of the best ways to prevent them from happening is through safety.
Finally, I am really admired to see the skills, sportsmanship, and team spirits from many of the contenders. A lot of them, especially the winning teams, demonstrated strong leadership, coordination, and successful tactics. They studied the missions, rules, and event details, planned their strategies both on and off the field (before insertion), and executed them beautifully. Special mention goes to Warehouse Rangers for winning the purple hearts – their restless trials resulted in the “highest casualties” in the field, but their persistent also get them REALLY close to winning 3rd place in the event. If we take the "time penalties" out of the equation, they would've actually surpress the All Americans!
Nonetheless, I do realize that there are still some shortcomings of this event. First, we went into it fully realizing the mission timings will be VERY aggressive (maybe "aggressive" is even an understatement); however we have no choice given the time restrictions. Early on the planning process, the organizers had made a conscious decision to provide as much variety as possible in one single day of game play. This resulted in 3-4 mission per session, and (3) two-hour-sessions on one game day (as opposed to (2), three-hour-sessions). However, with the extremely positive responses we have 19 teams registered and 14 teams showed up on the event. Well if you take 2 hours (120 minutes) divided by 14, that gives you 8.5 minutes per team per 2-hour session. Minus the time to escort teams to/from the line-up area and Shadow Squads re-org and re-load time, 5 minutes per game is about the most we can give. As we've witnessed in the few 10 min. long missions, teams waiting in-line grows impatience as the clock ticks away, and in one particular mission, only 4 (out of 14) teams were able to even attempt it. However, a strategy is already being formulated to address this issue next year.
Second, I think the Shadow Squad captain's grateful decision to extend some missions way past the scheduled end-time had came back to bite us. The over-time resulted in substantial delay in the next mission, which then required another overtime on the subsequent missions and that totally screwed up the schedule. For example, Assassination didn't end until 11:45, which pushed OVMB off the schedule so they were unable to start Safe Passage until 12:45. Safe Passage ended up running over-time again, and at 3:30 they were literally forced to end the mission because Black Hawk Down is scheduled to start in the same field. Again this caused a delay for Hide'n Seek, because most OVMB members did not attend the Shadow Squad training session and needs to walk the field prior to actually executing the mission. Needless to say, Hide'n seek didn't start until way past 4pm and even now I still don't know at what time it officially ends. Based on the number of scorecards I received from Hide'n Seek, it is even possible that many teams could not hand in their scorecards in time.
Finally, talking about scorecards, I realized that we need a batter way to keep scores. Originally an online score-keeping system is planned for the event, which allows scores to constantly be uploaded, keeping a running total for all teams at all times. This will allow each team to check their scores and rankings at real time, but due to heavy work load I was unable to complete that portion of the CM2 website. We ended up calculating scores using an Excel spreadsheet, substantially weaken the integrity of the scoring progress (score cards getting lost, etc.) as well as taken up my entire dinner break just for data entry. I didn't even have enough time to double-check the scores, not to mention grabbing anything to eat for dinner.
Nonetheless, overall I am pleased with the results — I am excited and thrilled by many excellent executions from the contenders, and I am generally happy as how things unfolded, on the organizer standpoint. To close things up, we are already talking about how to made it better next year, so rest assure that it will only be better! Last but not least, remember your comments counts and keep them coming!
Thank you once again for making this event a success. Without you, none of these could’ve happened!

Totally Awesome...
Saturday's games were some of the most high tempo games I think I have ever played. Yes, the time limits were a little short, but it's motivation to move and get things done. We (86th OR, Bravo Squad) had a tough time with that kill house and unsuccessfully got past it, but I don't ever remember being so motivated to try to win an event in my time as an airsofter. I wish we just could have tried more of the events.
We'll be definately looking forward for next year's events!!
Wallace - would you be able to let us take a look at the spreadsheet to see how the other teams did for the day?

Those Sunday tunnel rat games brought back the memories of what true CQB really is all about! I’ve been dying to use my shotgun in CQB for such a long time and it proved worthy! Next time I’m at franbar that game is a MUST!
For us near Toledoians Saturday the was pretty rough, poor planning due to the hack, poor luck at the missions, bud luck in general, and a dead van battery that was difficult to get back to life causing me to miss giving in our score cards. At least our team got some kind of mention, EVEN IF IT WAS ONE OF THE LOWEST SCORES!!!! LMAO! (I think Wallace had ONE of our cards!) I personally have not played such poor airsoft ever.
Even still we had a great time despite all of the problems we encountered along the way, a truly memorable experience.

Much appreciation to Wallace and Blade for inviting the OVMB to participate in this event. We truly enjoyed ourselves despite the weather conditions. Everyones attitude for the most part was great and the competitors seemed anxious to compete.
I had an oppotunity to scout out some GREAT talent over the course of the teams we faced and noticed some great future players! Hats off to all that competed as it was a pleasure to offer you a challenge on the field.
I would like to apologize to Wallace for the discrepancy in OT play. I realize that lunch was scheduled from 12 until 1 on the site but at that time we had in excess of 4-6 teams at a time waiting to play the Assassination event. I chose to continue play in order to give those wanting to compete a shot at doing so. (As you know YOU continued the same event after we moved to the next scenario because of its popularity)
I did not intend for the time frames to get thrown off but was trying to be as cordial to the competitors as possible and not leave anyone out. Matter of fact, I turned 3 teams in waiting away because we would have had no chance to eat at the rate the scenario was going. I asked others about what we should do and if there was going to be a "lunch horn" sounded to have all players break at once but there was no horn and I gathered that further play was up to us. Again, I apologize for the confusion as it was not intentional.
The condition of the play fields was another factor in the delay of running the events and not just the bleed over from the first mission. There MANY areas in which the mud was 6-8 inches deep and standing water. This made travel VERY difficult and required more time to get into position. This, of course, was an unforeseen problem.
In a previous post made by Spook, I and the rest of team must concur on the status of what all we saw on the field. In the Safe Passage scenario, we changed up locations of the SS due to safety issues with players immediately entering the building and being startled by players "sleeping" so we placed them outside. Well...the are outside was nothing more than a stagnant marsh with limited places that you would even want to walk much less hide in. The fumes from the water and areas of that portion of the field were raw sewage and very nausiating. Several players from OVMB as well as other competing players questioned the sanitation of the field and question what they percieved was there (excrement). Being that the field DID have a usable porta-toilet in the center I began to wonder myself. I am not trying to post degrading comments about the field but for safety and sanitary issues I feel that if players are going to pay to play there the owner needs to do something about condition of his establishment if he further charges a fee.
Please note that the OVMB had a great time battling it out with the various teams present and we look forward to more with all of you this summer. Again, many thanks and congrats to the organizers of this game as it was in all a success from all the feedback I gathered. Looking forward to the 3rd installment of CM! :)

First of all I'd like to thank the 'support staff' for this game. From Wallace and Blade to the Shadow squad, without all of you this game would've sucked big time.
Even as an organizer that ended up walking in the mud pit with Easy Company most of the day I had a BLAST. From my standpoint, keep in mind I wasn't in more than one place at one time, the game went extremely well.
The only problem I had with the game is that 12th run of Black-Hawk Down. I don't know who that guy was, but I was shocked that someone would act like the way he did.

Tunnelrat,
My apology, when I originally typed up my last post it was 4am in the morning and I wasn't thinking right. I knew something was wrong :p and its since been corrected. What happen is I read the wrong column off of my spreadsheet last night when I made that post, which lists the total score BEFORE time penalties were taken into consideration. Warehouse Rangers was the 3rd on that colume... however once the time penties kicks in, The All American is the official 3rd place.
I tried to squeeze my thoughts into the forum before I go to sleep and didn't even border checking... that's totally my fault and sorry for the confusion. Anyway, I wonder how my memory's been failing me miserably these days. Hack I just handed out the awards like 2 days ago and I can't even remember...

Oh, one more notes to the OVMB - you guys did an excellent job running the missions, and without you the event would not have happened. Although the OT resulted in unforseen complications, I am in no way saying those were bad decisions - you guys put in extra time, stay in the field for the longest (among all the Shadow Squads), and ran the hardest missions. Your decision to run OT is totally positive, totally for the players - I understand you just don't want anyone to be lefted out (hence I took on the duty and extended Mission 2 for another session). Unfortunately, it is a sad fact that we simply don't have enough time for every team to try every missions, and those who didn't line up fast enough loses their chances. More often things didn't turn out as planned, and the effect of the OT was unfavorable. However, I believe the intend was all good and that's what really counts.
W.
p.s. Mission scores and statistics will be published on the CM2 website shortly (when I said shortly, it will probably be after this weekend... much to catch up at work.) Also, for all team captains, I will be sending out questionaire in hope of making next year a better event. Your input will be invaluable to us so please look out for the questionaire e-mail!
It was a pretty successful event. The lines went smoothly, however there was a lot of down time. I personally got in about 1/2 hour of field time. For a 5 hour total drive, that is not too good. Some teams even combined in an effort to get into play quicker. I know our team gave up points for field time (we just wanted to play). As a suggestion for the raffle, maybe have it during the dinner break. For those of us driving back that night, staying until 11pm-12am until the raffle is over, before a long drive, is not good. I hope the person I gave my tickets too had some luck.:) The only negative thing I heard about was during one Blackhawk Down mission where the pilot called himself out without being shot.

Slug, not to spark up any bad blood, as the pilot...I was shot in every one of the 12 games except one (warehouse rangers, the entire team died). Just because you didn't see me get hit with a bb doesn't mean I wasn't hit :p .
I am still having trouble remembering which game that was, but one of them I was shot at by a 'skinny' who was hidden from almost every angle (between the 2 boards where I was taking cover).

I have to say, this was an OUTSTANDING EVENT. Ive been to three at FBP so far, and this takes the cake. At first i think the scenarios ran rough.. but they got better. Thats to be expected.
I wanna say thanks to the organizers. Much thought went into this, and it really shows. Wallace, Jewtifuls Mom, Locutus, Decoy, Blade and all, excellent job.
All Americans, Im proud as always to be a part of the most abusive, and easily one of the most skilled teams around. We rule. and trogdor comes in the NIGHT!!!! If anyone was offended in any way by the all american's antics, i apologize. We're just weird. Trust me we are alot of fun, and good people when you know us.
|IP|, congratulations on a well earned victory.
OVMB, its always great ot see you guys, and a special thanks to the other shadow sqauds as well.
All great things can be improved though.
I have a few suggestions to combat the timing problems, which i feel was the only real problem this event faced, and understandably so due to the number of teams.
For one, a team who is in line should be playing first. I know we dont wish to keep the same teams playing again and again, while shafting the others. But i cannot tell you how many times the All Americans sat in line, and had a bunch of teams just show up saying they hadnt played. I understnad the thinking in this, but unless a team is abusing the system, it should be first come first serve. Another Idea would be to possibly limit how many times scenario is played by a team. possibly 2 times? Or for certain ones, one time? I dont know.
Another, more complicated idea, is to give teams a schedule on which they play. Say " Team A, be here at 11 am, or else you miss your chance to play scenario X. Then proceed to scenario Y by 1130 am, scenario z at 1 pm," etc etc. This way we know what events have people there, etc etc.
Another idea is to limit the teams playing, or possibly split it over two days. Im sure many of my ideas have been thought of, but i thought id make them known.
Again, thanks all fgor a great event. I hope everyone had a good time.

First thing first, All organizers and shadow squad, congratulations on an excellant day of play and thanks for making it well worth the 2.5hours of drive I made to play.
As was stated by deltasniper the time schedule would work more effectively than just saying go and start where you want to. Also possibly extending the mission time a little would be great. Other than that, I personally don't think that the All Americans had any beefs with it.
Congrats to IP for taking first. We're looking forward to the next event.

Delta, I know I had to turn you guys away once in favor of another team who had not yet played the mission, and trust me, I truely felt bad about it... but as it was, I still ended up having to turn away a couple teams at the end even after I extended the session by 45 minutes.
I hope you know I meant no disrespect toward you and the rest of the All Americans.
I also have to give kudos to iP and the warehouse rangers for outstanding shows. I also glad to say that my shadow squad reported virtually no cheating and everyone for the most part displayed the utmost honor and sportsmanship (expect for few minor incidents, but nothing is perfect. :)). This past weekend was definatley one of the better weekends of my life. I had a great time playing the missions on Saturday and a great time in open play Sunday.
The missions that were set up for Saturday were well thought out and fun to play. Whoever designed the missions you did a great job.
The only bad thing is, I lost my radio this weekend. Its a silver colored Motorola Radio from Radio Shack. If anyone found it please let me know.
Decoy, no bad blood sparked. :) In general human nature, it is difficult to convince a person who was perceived to be wronged that something different occurred. This is especially the case if others support the viewpoint of this person. It is also in general human nature to cover one's own mistakes, generally speaking of course. :p

Locutus,
no its understood. I can see where the rule comes from, and you were simply enforcing policy. The All Americans dont expect special treatment at all. The being turned away once from yours wasnt the bad part. We were getting turned away several times for other missions.
I suspect that if one or more of my suggestioins is taken to heart, then this wont be such a porblem next year. To be honest, im sure you guys actually realized most of my suggestions. No one could have really foreseen this.
Thanks tho, and again there are no hard feelings.
I also would like to take this chance and let you guys in on this gem, as many people seemed clueless as to why everything was trogdor, and trogdor the burninator with the All Americans. Check out the follwing links, and you should probbaly review the whole website if youhave not seen it already.

In regards to ensuring that each team gets to play, maybe issue a team/mission card for each team and mission to the team captains in the morning. The card would say "Mission x, Team Happy Bunch." When your turn comes, give the card to the judge. The judge would keep the cards and thus know who played. A team showing with no card means they already played (or lost the card :( ). If the cards are no bigger than an index card, they can easily be stuffed in a pocket. The missions are long enough so that the next teams in line can be easily sorted out.

As I don't have a lot of time, I will just comment on one thing:
"gets its name for the numerous piles of human feces I saw floating in the mud in the extreme rear of the CQB area. "
As everybody who has lived outside the city should know, it's obvious that every spring, the farms ground will smell this. It is something that I personally never encountered in Fran's bar beside when I fell in the pond and even it was not feces, I can tell you it smell like it.
As far as himan feces, I would highly doubt it. Indeed, with all the animals around (even deer), I would highly doubt that a paintball player would prefer to do it in the field than just using one of the three portopoty.
Keep in mind guys that we have been very lucky in the first year that all games were played by sunny days and dry ground. A field condition like you saw last weekend is unfortunately, unpredictable. It's not a question of field quality but more about the accumalation of water.
Just my early thoughts about last weekend....
Deviant

Noone was saying that a PB player would drop his drawers and deposit a loaf on the field. The comments made were that of questioning WHERE a portapot was located on the field and where ALL the pots are drained? It is kinda odd to have a porta pot in the middle of a play field anyway much less in a flooded location. The ground around it was was nasty and smelled. I went nowhere near it.
Being the smell of raw sewage was EVIDENT in the field, especially in the back, and there was questionable evidense, I wonder if the back area is also a dump site for the pots. Being that it was flooded and stuff washed all around....I was concerned.
We have all made comments on the safety of the place with exposed nails and other unsafe conditions in the past. The fumes and percieved low standards this weekend were just an addition. Each time we are there nothing is changed or upgraded and you have to wonder that if Airsoft players alone are spending $15 everytime plus fees from PB players, some of that income should go into improving the fields. But....it is apparent it is not. Am I wrong?
I hope everyone knows I am not putting anyone down or putting down the efforts of AO in utilizing this field. I am, hoewever, concerned (as well as several others) as to the safety and sanitation of Fran Bar. Each time we play there no improvements or attempts to improve are done. It IS a legitimate cause for concern. Just my thoughts and the thoughts of others that have made comments. I hope you dont misunderstand my tone in this post because it is one of concern. Thanks.

I've been a member of "101st Airborne, G Company" since last year, but I never got a chance to play with them at an official game because of my work schedule. Thank you all for making my first game such a memorable experience! Especially taking second place....I don't think I'll ever forget that! :D
I agree that the condition of the fields was a pain in the butt to deal with....but when our team did "Cut Throat", I wasn't really caring that I was up to my ankles in mud while I was running. It was fun! (tho now I have to clean my boots.... )
Congrats to IP for taking first place and thanks to the organizers and shadow squads for doing such a great job!
Also, thanks to the guys who helped push my car out of the mud after the award ceremony. I wasn't driving, but mine was the saturn on the edge of the field. I'd thank you all personally, but I couldn't see who was who in the rear view mirror in the dark. And François, I swear we weren't trying to steal your camera!! ;)
Anyway, I hope to see you all again at future events!

On behalf of the entire Warehouse Rangers, I'd like to thank the orginizers for an excellent time this weekend! We had a blast despite the bad weather conditions and we met some great people! (I'm talking about you, All Americans!)
Congradulations to those teams who placed and better luck next time to those (of us) who didn't.
I'd also like to thank the Shadow Squads for a well played game. You all played honorably and were gracious losers (to those few we actaully managed to take out! lol!). You people are machines! To play all that time with little or no breaks/rest and to still take people out in droves! Rock on!
We only had one incident and it was during the BHD scenario where two of my Rangers came under fire WITHIN the minimum engagement distance. We were pretty cheesed about this, but we're better now. One hit was in equipment and the other was in the lower leg (two HUGE brusies).
I understand that things can get foggy and people lose themselves to the adrenaline during combat, but EVERYONE needs to be careful out there! If those shots had been to the face or head (accidents have been know to happen) then teeth would have been lost, or worse.
I'm not 100% sure who was responsible, so I'm not going to point fingers. Just make sure eveyone keeps safety in mind above all else.
I'd like to give a shout out to Bossman, Locutus, Diviant, and Jutiful's Mom (?) the four judges we had the most contact with. You were all curtious, professional and friendly. Thank you. Oh, and Bossman, Reaper says you're hot.
Other than that, everyone had a great time and we're looking forward to CM III. As well as any and all other events that come along.
Keep your BBs dry and your batteries charged!
ps--I can't believe we were that close to taking third place! Guess we did better than we thought. Sweet!

I must say thank you to the many organizers for puting together a great event!! Only a few minor problems occured which I think will be fixable before the next event. I know my team sat waiting for about 40 minutes in line for the Safe Passage mission which we felt was VERY wasted (since we did not even get to try it) as we could have run at least 1 or 2 other missions in that time. But we still had a lot of fun and did our best through the day despite several team hadicaps and the large amount of mud. :)
Getting muddy was just part of the experience that we all enjoyed and look forward to the next time.
Congrats to IP for taking 1st and the All Americans for 3rd! I'm happy with my team's perfomance and I'm happy with 2nd place. All Shadow Squad members I salute you for playing so hard all day with so little time for rest!
It was a great weekend which helped us grow and learn.....showed us our weakness as well as our strength.

p.s. thanks to all whom helped us out of the mud after the award ceremony!

OooooH
I almost forgot, KUDOS for all of the FPS checking in the scenario’s and the pre game setup for checking all guns. I assume that the shadow teams did this as well. These efforts were appreciated!

Im pretty sure that P90 mag by the table near the trailers is the one I lost, I remembered taking it out and setting it down there, and when I found it was missing by the time I went and checked, it was gone. Could whoever it ended up getting to please PM me?
I sure had way too much fun. Fighting with Strikers / Shadow Squad at the paint ball field, great bunch of fighters, the Canadian crew was almost professional. The additoinal help and the Strikers were such good players and great folks, thanks for being so gracious.
Everyone we shot was sure good sports, and thanks for letting us shoot you so much.
CM2 was my first airsoft event ever, and i must say it was really fun. the missions i played went rather well, and it was interesting to see how many people were actually involved in each mission. (assassination). thanks to the sponsors and organizers, and also to everyone who showed up.

CM2 was my first Airsoft event as well. I had fooled around with the guns in the woods behind my house chasing my brother, but nothing compares to the fun I had at CM2. I can't wait until there's another airsoft event near me (pittsburgh, bleh) A big thanks and good job to the organizers of CM2!

Cm2 was my second airsoft ohio event, the first being Operation Pegasus II (which was also very enjoyable).
However, cm2 had a special twist to it being that it was a team event, and it was alot of fun to meet new people... and kill them.
However, some of the missions were damn near impossible lol (the hostages in the house... holy cow!) but even if they were impossible, they were still VERY enjoyable adn thats what matters.
Sunday's games were fun too, standard elimination games are ALWAYS fun.
Special Thanks to Frank for fixing up my M4 and Wallace for his hard work and dedication to the sport.
Also, Thanks to all the distributors who gave prizes and such for the raffle.

Sgt. Splat are you talking about the scenario where the two wounded POWs needed to be carried out? If so I was one of the POWs and I was kinda surprised that I was shot up every single mission :) Was a great time overall though. OVMB is a great bunch of guys.

Psycho Tool, I think he's referring to the one where the hostages were inside the house. There were four Shadow Squad members who had every angle inside the house covered, and half the house had no floor, letting them see into the ground level.
The one you're talking about (I think) is the one where your team has supressed weapons and Shadow Squad had the hoods over their heads.
I could be wrong, though, so don't take my word for it

Hey, Wallace, Blade whoever, what's up with the CM II results?
Don't mean to rush anyone, I of all people know that things can get busy, but my Rangers are frothing at the mouth to find out their actual scores. And I have to admit I'd love to know them as well.
I had been checking the CM II website the past couple of weeks but I noticed today that it was down.
I'll keep checking back here and bugging you until you either give everyone the results or tell me to Frell off! :D
Take care!

Cowboy -
I'll second that motion - where's the beef?
Wallaces system took a gigantic crap, so relax and give the man a break. After all the hoops he jumped through organizing and running the game, I'd say it's warranted.
So frell off. ;)

Scores ?

Well, I guess 2 months is long enough to wait for results. I guess we can try to re-create them from what everyone (who was there) knows about the event.
In Session I, Mission #01 Vapor Nightmare, I believe only one team completed both parts of the mission successfully (demo the weapons and return the chemical sample). I also believe 2 other teams completed half of the mission (demo the weapons).
Who were the successful (and semi-successful) teams on this?
On the Bonus speedball field, I believe no team completed a successful mission in Session #1, and only one team completed a mission in Session #2 (touch the Shadow Squad base).
If anyone can fill in parts and pieces of the other 7 missions, that would at least give everyone an idea of what happened.

Well I know iP completed both parts and got a score of like +155 for Vapor Nightmare.
We only tried shooting gallery once. We sent 3 on 8 and we fell short of the mission by one kill.
Wallace got some "splanin to do" ?

Well if you're talking Vapor Nightmare then my team (101st Airborne, G Company did very well. Quite a few kills and we destroyed the weapons and since we couldn't extract the chemicals they got blown too(I was the last one alive to the end of the mission). So we completed objective 1 and got points for the secondary objective. So we didn't just get the weapons, but we didn't do full completion either.
We never did any of the bonus missions.
Didn't do very well on the Assassination mission.
Completed half of Mission3: Cut Throat.
Mission6: Black Hawk Down we had a decent time, not great, but not the worst.
In mission8: Hide'n Seek we made it to both DF guys, but got ambushed. We got the intel back and by the end there were only 2 Shadow Squad members left to our 2 (out of 5).
So that's my teams day for the most part. :) That help?
