What about an Off Topic Forum?

It's been tried before (I believe) and failed, probably due to flame wars. If you want to talk politics or religion i'm sure there are tons of forums for it.

An offtopic forum on here may have bad consequences.

People with certain political agendas and veiws would be targets of other people with certain political agendas and views at events.

I could see myself hunting down specific targets at an event just because of their liberal, religious, or social ideals, and making sure of headshots, MED violations, and exsesive "supression" fire.

If you can see yourself breaking safety rules because of your personal stance against a person, I suggest you don't play the sport.

Well, I wasnt refering to me in particular, but If someone pissed someone off enough (which really happen frequently in online forums) then we all meet at an event something could happen.

Once things here become personal between members, the forums and the event may get out of hand.

It could happen.

we at neasg have an off topic thread set, but they end up being just as mentioned- flame wars and such. we just had to ban one of our most prolific memebrs due to flaming being taken from theboards and brought out to aim.

Just make sure "it" doesn't happen involving you. "Ban-ation" has resulted from these kinds of "it could happen" - scenarios.

If you have a problem with someone's ideas, you need to settle it off-forums, privately where we don't have to read it.
