Does anyone know if an all-metal desert eagle exists for under £100/$167.899*?
*thanks www.xe.com ;)

Unfortunately, no, there are none to be had at that price unless you can spot a deal on a used/second-hand metal slide and frame fitted Tokyo Marui.
However, as those are expensive aftermarket parts for that particular replica, it would be an exceptional -- and thus very, very unlikely -- find.
Best of luck,

Ok I see what u mean after looking around a bit.... So (gulp) what models are there available, regardless of cost? Don't worry, I'm not expecting anything cheap this time.

If you want metal, so far, the only available option is the PREVIOUS GENERATION Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle, fitted with a ZEKE slide, barrel, and frame kit (metal).
This will land you in the $500 range, at the minimum, with the GBB price included.
To the best of my knowledge, no such kits exist for the defunct Western Arms Desert Eagle, the current KWC Desert Eagle, and no such kit yet exists for the upcoming/pending-release second-generation Tokyo Marui DEs.
It is unknown whether if the previous-generation ZEKE kit will be cross-compatible with either the KWC or the defunct WA.

Ok thanks people - any further replies are of course welcome in case i have been mislead, but i cannot find anything myself and so assume that the best i will do is the "previous generation Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle, fitted with a ZEKE slide, barrel, and frame kit (metal)." Thanks DumboRat

Just be warned that the previos generation Desert Eagle didn';t get very good reviews-well, at least from what I heard about it, the blowback action was very weak. I myself searched all over for a ZEKE metal DE slide. I imagine the only way to find one is to ask a retailer to special order it for you. However, I have read that the new generation TM DE is made of a zinc metal die-cast.

Thanks for the heads up on the poor review thing ;) . So what's this "new generation TM DE" - is it out now, does it have a website etc.?

It was supposed to be released in May, but that didnt quite happen. As far as I know, it can be released any day now.
Oh hey, look at this!

Hi,
Sorry to get back to you so late but I was unable to retrieve my email from
this account for some time. I do still have the slide and safety set for
sale if you would like it.
Scott

Something that I just remembered.
You might want to drop Locutus and/or Wallace and/or Sabre a Private Message to see if they have contact information for another senior AO member, Distorted_Axis.
I believe he had, at one point, a fully-upgraded previous-generation TM DE.
During our singular 2-minute exchange about this gorgeous piece, he said that it was a difficult installation and tuning process -- undoubtedly, you can expect plenty of hints and tips from him regarding this subject if you are able to track him down.
Best of luck!

PS: When you do track him down, tell him that I said hi! =)

Actually I bought that off of him.
according to distorted Axis, the metal body kit requires a lot of work to modify. Even after that an essential part was broken which he/ I have been unable to replace.
Personally i would not recomend it.
for more information contact distorted axis, his AIM is distortedaxis
