You can take away from this idea or add more detail as you see fit for your participants. The basic scenario is as follows:

A dignitary foreign or domestic is flying from a South American country to The Marine base at Guantanamo Bay. The Dignitary is accompanied by an eight man protection team, a pilot and co-pilot. The plane/helicopter is hit by ground fire and crashes some distance from the origin of the weapons fire. In the insuing crash the pilot, co-pilot and 3 of the protection team are killed. The dignitary is injured but can't walk without assistance. The protection team uses a satcom to contact the base and call for assistance. The downed team is not clear of there exact location but have a rough idea where they have crash landed. The area is known to be heavily trafficed and patroled by rebels. It is decided that an air rescue is risky and that the best chance is for the team to be extracted by land. 2 ten man seal squads on TAD at the marine base are dispatched and charged with the recovery of the downed dignatary and protection team. The protection team is ordered to stay put and wait for the extraction team. The extraction teams are dropped in to a clearing some distance away with rough coordinates. The first squads orders are to secure the LZ and hold it for extraction. The second squad is ordered to find the downed dignitary and extract him at all costs. The first squad will be dispatched for reinforcement if the need arises. The rebels have seen the general direction the downed aircraft has traveled. They have dispatched an overwelming force to locate and capture or kill the occupants of the aircraft.

The protection team must use stealth. They need to hide and wait out rescue. They should have a radio so that they can communicate with the extraction team but should have no map of the playing field. The downed crew must be limited in what they communicate especially if they know the playing field well. The downed team must stay in the general are of the crash unless attacked. At which point the main objective is to protect the dignitary. The protection team can carry small arms (M4s, MP5s, etc. and handguns) They should dress in street cloths with tactical use in mind. No camo! The dignatry should be easy to pick out. The dignatary may be allowed a handgun but it must be one of the protection teams backups.

The rebels start at a respective fire base and will split up in search squads. These individuals are on there own turf so they should have detailed maps of the area as well as some type of communicataion. They should be given a general area where the suspected aircraft was to have crashed but it should be challenging to find. The rebels can carry all arms and there numbers should be greater than that of the extraction team. The rebels number one objective is to capture the dignitary alive. He is no good to the rebels dead. This does not mean that the rebels lose if he is shot, it just means that shouldn't be the point of the exercise. One of the rebels other objectives might be to find the extraction point annd cut off escape.

The seals need to find the dignitary and extract him. Stealth should be the strategy of the day. They are up against an overwelming force. The seals objectives are to keep the protection team and more importantly the dignitary alive and extract them both. The seals should be loaded out with squad based weapons and should be able to communicate with the downed crew and the other seal squad. The seals should not know the exact location of the downed crew. They should be given a general location and be allowed to discuss some details with the downed team.
The seals can have a map of the area but it should ot be as detailed as the rebel force...again they are outnumbered and this is not their turf.

Again tailor the size of the squads and the distances to your field and the number of players you have. You can also use some different ways to identify the dignitary and protection team so that the different teams can switch up through out the day. I'm a newb and this is the first time of come up with one of these I would like to hear input regarding this idea. Thanks

I like it, just seems to call for alot of men than are normaly on a airsoft team, say mine which is around 10 guys, only about 5 show up every practice as many can't make it, you know alternating the 5 different guys that are always coming. With less people though it would be cool.

If you could get all 10 there you could still do this. Maybe 2 seals 1 dignatary 2 body guards and 5 rebels. It just depends how out numbered you want the Seals. I do agree that this scenario is probably better suited for large numbers. Maybe a large event.

i think it would be great for a big event but it would be hard for a small group of people
